    I don't think it will be able to reach 2000mm/s speed while printing. It will get close possibly around 1800 but I'm definitely super excited to see the results either way. I am hoping for the 2000mm/s and some half decent quality finish would be even sicker

    Would like to test those macros but i cannot configure them. My present machine (sapphire pro) cannot exceed 2000mm/s without constant layer shift. So it would be helpful to test macros and adjust things to figure put what is it that limits my acceleration and deceleration

    Nicely done vez, extremely impressive.
    It hurts to correct you, but when the printhead moves in y only 2 motors apply torque, not 4, although 4 turn. The two responsible for a straight x movement are not applying any force on the y gantry directly (if you undo the y belt and do a x move the gantry will slightly move due to inertia of the printhead), the only overcome friction and internal stresses in the belt. But you are right about the weakest point, a 45° movement, the y motors need to accelerate the gantry and printhead in y as well as the printhead in x. Tje weakest link speed wise is a 45° movement were the x motors need to turn twice the speed of a linear y movement (45° x motor doesnt turn, 90° x motor turns at V speed and at 135° it turms at 2V speed). I hope that doesnt confuse you, i was quite surprised that many youtubers claim that you have the force of 2 (4 in the vz235's case) motor for a y movement, but in reality 1 applies its force and the other one executes a correctional movement. On the other hand no paper claims that all motors apply their force for a y movement. But some said youtubers also say that the ender 5 is a core xy, which is BS.
    I hope i brought some clarity into this topic and didnt cause some more confusing in the world of 3d printers

    • @Vez3D
      @Vez3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Im not sure here buddy. When you go in y or x.. both corexy motors will run together...and on a quadxy..its 4 of them. Unless im completely sniffing glue here

    • @kilianlindlbauer8277
      @kilianlindlbauer8277 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Vez3D yes moving and applying torque are two separate things. As i said, on a y movement both x motors basically apply no torqueon the gantry, only the y motors move the gantry plus printhead while the x motors make sure the printhead stays where it is on a linear y movement. Since the is no velocity change in x, the x motors are just overcoming friction.

    the reason your mgn 7 rail is flexing so much is because your rail is on top , and all that weight on the bottom means the center of mass isn't right on the rail, so the rail needs to bear both thrust and moment, casing it to bend and twist, try placing the center of mass of the entire print head right on the rail block and give the mgn7 rail another try
