MJ, thank You for the encouraging point of view you shared about the light after the dark times. What you shared about your personal experience is very meaningful and heartfelt. I'm grateful for those and other efforts you make and initiatives you take to share such impactful reactions. Appreciate You Hugs
I enjoy your reactions to these classic throwback movies. Lethal Weapon, Beverly Hills Cop, Bad Boys & Rush Hour is the Mount Rushmore of buddy cop franchises.
I like when they bring up "Air America" in that office scene, because Mel Gibson starred in a movie with Robert Downey Jr. called Air America that was about US government agents involvement in drug trafficking during the Vietnam war.
I am one of them old people. And I love watching you. You're smile, you're Laugh You're Frowns and you're tears. You need to always be you. I think you're great
Yes. I tripped on acid back in my teen days and I did see those flashy, wavy lights and slow-motion vision. I remember segments of the night where I was just staring at myself in the bathroom mirror just touching my face, lmao!!

Watch the rest of the Lethal Weapon movies. You won't be disappointed. Not only are they good movies but instead of just repeating a formula, the characters (and supporting characters) grow and develop and progress through their lives.
I agree. Joe Pesci is excellent in that one. I bought the soundtracks also. The first 2 films feature Eric Clapton on guitar and the late saxophonist David Sanborn the most. Huge fans of both.

I just stumbled upon your channel. Lethal Weapon is one of my favorite movies, and it is cool to see someone reacting to it. The other 3 'Lethal Weapon' movies are good as well. You were talking about how sad it is to see people getting old. I just turned 45 myself [5 years from 50, which is really almost tripy to think about], and I can honestly say, it is odd to see how my mom is pushing 70 now, and my step dad just turned 69. It is also really odd to see actors who were younger be that much older. I remember watching Seinfeld back in the '90's, and to think he is 70 now. I used to watch 'Cheers' and 'Becker', and to see Ted Danson in his 70's now. I just saw an interview with Dick Van Dyke, and he is almost 100 now. Even seeing Danzel Washington older is really odd.

Great advice and message you passed, MJ. About the dark times, some experiences are heavier than others, but as a health professional I can raise some common points that we don't see when we are younger. The mixture of personal + family problems, the hormonal phase and the psychosocial development in this phase usually lead many to have thoughts of taking their own life. Unfortunately, in this period we tend to maximize our problems, and many even take pleasure in pain and/or romanticize death. But as you said, life always improves after this phase. About illegal substances, from oregano to the heaviest ones, usually the hallucinogenic effect is the predominant one to escape reality and problems. Oregano, for example, only causes slowness of the senses and irritation in the eyes. Not to mention the exponential destruction of neurons (yes, this is true). The other substances are infinitely worse and more addictive.
I've been in that dark abyss of sorrow & even had my worst anxiety attack because of it, but it really is weird (to me it's more weird than a miracle) that I didn't went down the end route despite all that. And that thought has come and gone in my head over the years.. It actually does get better. How, I can't really say because I still don't know how it got better. Maybe I got focused on other things that got me occupied & step by step it didn't feel as dark as before. But you can't rush this, it takes time to heal, and even when it does get better you still have those mental scars, the pain is still there. It gets better, but you never forget. And yes, it saddens you to see your parents or a loved one getting older...
Yes, please watch all of them where it gets better, especially the 4th one! I definitely enjoyed watching this one with you as it made my day as I needed some laughs. 🤣🤣🤣
Die Hard IS a Christmas movie because it is focused on the efforts of going home, for Christmas, to re-unite with the wife and kids....just things get directed elsewhere during the office Christmas party. To closest to a high drug I came in contact to was valium, but that was given to me just to calm my nerves on my 2nd wisdom tooth operation. If you never had one, it was more like being drunk than being high. It calmed you down & you felt extra happy with no worries at all. And then it knocks you out for a couple of hours. She jumped because she thought she could fly, when you're high you think you can do crazy stuff even though you really can't. The first two movies are really great, the third movie was good & the fourth movie was ok. There's been talks about a 5th movie with Mel Gibson directing it as well (he has previously directed movies such as Braveheart, Passion of the Christ, Apocalypto & Hacksaw Ridge). Though when he realised he couldn't make it to direct he wanted Mel to take on the directing duties as well. But right now the 5th movie is in a bit of a limbo.

Great Reaction to this Awesome Movie..... Whole Series (4 Movies) are Great, Excellent World Building..... Lethal Weapon is a Christmas Movie!!! There are additional scenes in the Director's cut that give more to Riggs's mindset at the beginning of the movie......... - Mel Gibson (Riggs) Mel plays this role in 4 movies, He plays Max Max in 3 movies, Plays other Great Characters Benjamin Martin in "The Patriot", William Wallace in "Braveheart", - Danny Glover (Roger Murtaugh) starts the Movie series at age 41 playing a 50 year old cop, Played in "The Color Purple" - Gary Busey (Mr Joshua) Also played in "Point Break", - Grand L Bush Played in Lethal Weapon 1 & 2, Played FBI Agent Johnson in Die Hard, - Al Leong (Endo) Also played the Gunman that "Stole" the candybar in Die Hard, He plays a henchman in alot of 1980's Action Movies....... - Mary Ellen Trainor (Phyciatrist) continues the role through multiple Lethal Weapon Movies, Played a Newscaster in Die Hard Fun Note: In the Street Scene where Riggs gets the hot dog, across the street "The Lost Boys" is advertised on the Movie Marquee........ Spoiler Alert: Only Lethal Weapon 1 happens at Christmas....... So can watch the others at any time....
Mj, u hit the spots, and said the right things, I've gone thru dark paths and looking back I've made it out and still improving. I enjoy watching ur reactions. Thank u mj
These movies are a blast! Watch ‘em all. And fifty isn’t that old girl. My youngest just got a new dress for a dance at school. And yes, it takes a lot to not go full dad mode and say no. But she is a good kid and … yeah… She also has eight years of Aikido.
Yup 4 of these and they're all great. My favorite action franchise. I'm 63 and Mom is 80. We lost Dad in 2015. That's why those clear pool covers were taken off the market. Too many accidental drownings. Mel Gibson has always had the skill to have you crying one minute and laughing the a few minutes later. I've always considered him a phenomenal actor.
There are actually deleted scenes where Michael is closed off because his fiance died in a car accident motivating him to become a doctor. That is during the scene where Selene shared her trauma so they trauma bonded.
You addressing older people and saying you don't know if they can relate to a younger person's perspective is kinda cute. We were all on the other side of the fence when we were growing up :p
I loved your reaction to Lethal Weapon. I only envy you that you watched it for the first time, while I've watched all four of them quite a bit over the years. There's been some buzz on and off for a while about a Lethal Weapon 5, but no progress, so far.
Don't forget, some of us "older folks" were young as well and watched out parents get old too. The pause you had? I loved it, very positive about a very tough subject. One that too many of us have gone through. Really starting to like your channel!
I smoked grass lying in bed listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, smoked Opium, did mushrooms, cocaine (gave it up after a couple of weeks...didn't feel good) dropped acid and smoked grass on a beach in Waikiki (a trip I'll never forget), never heroin or needle related...gave it all up!! not proud, not ashamed either, experienced!!! Now whiskey fills my time, quiet, lethargic!!! had a very successful career though so....
If you want more action like this, Here it is: Demolition Man Last boy scout Universal soldiers Last action hero Con air Money train 48 hrs The warriors Three o'clock high 1988
6:18 😁 yes, we were young once, but that (whistful pause) was a long time ago. I know exactly what you mean kiddo. I still remember my dad's 50th birthday...i think, and it hits you like, holy shit my dad's 50! Now here I am heading toward 49 later this year. Yep, on getting older myself, I don't mind getting older, but some of the things that come with it kinda suck. But i do try to be greatful for every day. Keep up the good work.
Depression is a hard thing to reach through when someone is in it's depths. Partially everything is colored by your emotional state, that very logical reasoning won't even make sense to you. The only answer when you see someone going through it is to just be there. To come around with some take out and just hang out for a while. You don't have to say anything about their mental state, probably better if you don't, but make a point that you are glad to see them and want to see them. We live in a very lonely world now and being willing to be present and spend time in a room with those that matter to you can be healing for both sides.
For educational purposes: My time experimenting back around 89-93, it was a mix of experiences. The puffy stuff was just a "mellow"..... but the pills provided a bit of sensory disconnection. Meaning that I felt my "mind" being over here.... while my body felt "over there". Hard to really describe, but numbness like your arm or foot falling asleep, lack of coordination which meant feeling like my feet were in concrete, or light as a feather ... that kind of sensation more than anything like "hyper-sensitivity" . As far as mentally, it was a more "wow, look at that" or "no longer caring" type of thing, sometimes with slight confusion of "did I see that thing move or not", maybe the occasional "deep thoughts" that after things got back to normal felt more like "that has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard". But generally speaking, it was actually more of a "not caring and floating" sort of thing. Never did anything you would snort or inject, so can't say about that. But your weed, uppers/downers, painkillers...... they do different things and DO have different effects. Thankfully never really did anything that you would call "addictive" in general, just "night of a haze" kind of stuff. Will say this. Some people claim that doing adult activities with each other is MORE enjoyable on some stuff, but I found it to be LESS enjoyable because the "disconnect" that I always felt. And going further down that rabbit hole involves conversations you can't have on TH-cam.
13:05 - I get why you hate getting personal BUT please don't underestimate what you do for your followers young lady! Your attitude, points of view and funny remarks bring joy to LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE!!! Keep doing what you're doing! Goodnight and Godbless! ❤❤❤
Suicide is a real problem for people. People in this situation basically needs someone to say that they are not alone in the world. It's not cheesy to say it's going to be alright. In reality they just want to feel loved and they're cared for. That is all.
Aging is only a drag if you don't do two things --- preferably from an "early" age: 1) Always have a goal, however small it might be and 2) Never go to bed until you can recall something you learned that day (Its size doesn't matter) or something nice that you did for someone (Again, size doesn't matter). Look "behind" yourself for lessons and "in front" of yourself for dreams. And when you retire, stick as closely as possible to the sleep routines of your life before retirement (It's healthier for your body) (Good for any age: Most diseases and conditions have an "inflammation" factor that makes things worse. But its easy to avoid if you make sure you eat properly) [End of old guy yapping]
How are you doing my friend? How are you feeling? I am 39 years old and I am a major fan of all of your movie reactions. I have literally been watching your channel every since you started it. Much love!!
FYI the Air America story was 100% true. A movie was made about it as well and none other than Mr. Mel Gibson stars as the main charcter (the pilot) in the movie.

Technically, six and a half words.
The irony is that Danny Glover was only 40 when he's supposedly 50, in this movie. 😂

You need to watch a lot more films from the 80s as they are the best films, not like today’s CGI crap
There were CGI in the 80's
They used CGI and a lot of miniatures that didn’t look anywhere near as well as they do today.

Never accept an open drink from someone you don’t know . Sometimes even if you know the person
Never have a drink from anything you left unattended, either ☝️
Love the Lethal Weapon series and for the message in the vid yeahhh I’m right there with you been there and it does get better
But she is a good kid and … yeah…
She also has eight years of Aikido.
Imm 22, dad 65. It is rough watching your parents get old.❤
I loved your reaction to Lethal Weapon. I only envy you that you watched it for the first time, while I've watched all four of them quite a bit over the years. There's been some buzz on and off for a while about a Lethal Weapon 5, but no progress, so far.
oh yeah. you're gonna love all 4 of these!!
The father of the blonde girl who jumped was in " Liar - Liar "😂😂😂. Also in a Stephen King film : CREEPSHOW
Don't forget, some of us "older folks" were young as well and watched out parents get old too. The pause you had? I loved it, very positive about a very tough subject. One that too many of us have gone through. Really starting to like your channel!
You'll enjoy the entire franchise very rarely can a series hold up but this special one does 1 - 4. Incredible movies.
If u watch 1,2, and 3, theres a comedy version called Loaded Weapon 1 starring Samuel L.jackson and Emilio Estevez
If you want more action like this,
Here it is:
Demolition Man
Last boy scout
Universal soldiers
Last action hero
Con air
Money train
48 hrs
The warriors
Three o'clock high 1988
6:18 😁 yes, we were young once, but that (whistful pause) was a long time ago.
I know exactly what you mean kiddo. I still remember my dad's 50th birthday...i think,
and it hits you like, holy shit my dad's 50!
😍😍😍😍 Lethal Weapon franchise will always be classic 🔥🔥🔥 MJ you're so beautiful. Love your content
Awesome reaction young lady !! You reacted the way we who watched it in theaters did back in 1987. Enjoy the rest of the franchise! It's good !
6:44 I understand what you saying but this universal for everyone for sure watching our parents as we grow up we look at them young always
21:35
Legendary lines from Danny Grover.
I'm too old for this stuff.
Classic.
Those lines are big hits on this movie.
RIGGS IS RECKLESS LOL KEEP WATCHING THE SERIES
13:05 - I get why you hate getting personal BUT please don't underestimate what you do for your followers young lady! Your attitude, points of view and funny remarks bring joy to LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE!!! Keep doing what you're doing! Goodnight and Godbless! ❤❤❤
I love yall 🥹❤️
I loved your personal breakthrough message.
Learning more about MJ is such a precious experience ❤
Suicide is a real problem for people. People in this situation basically needs someone to say that they are not alone in the world. It's not cheesy to say it's going to be alright. In reality they just want to feel loved and they're cared for. That is all.
Aging is only a drag if you don't do two things --- preferably from an "early" age: 1) Always have a goal, however small it might be and 2) Never go to bed until you can recall something you learned that day (Its size doesn't matter) or something nice that you did for someone (Again, size doesn't matter).
Look "behind" yourself for lessons and "in front" of yourself for dreams.
And when you retire, stick as closely as possible to the sleep routines of your life before retirement (It's healthier for your body)
(Good for any age: Most diseases and conditions have an "inflammation" factor that makes things worse. But its easy to avoid if you make sure you eat properly)
[End of old guy yapping]
The funny thing about that jumper is that he'll never think about jumping again
Buddy cop franchise of all buddy cop franchises. It gets better with each sequel you are in for a treat.
Supposedly, there is a Part 5 in the works
How are you doing my friend? How are you feeling? I am 39 years old and I am a major fan of all of your movie reactions. I have literally been watching your channel every since you started it. Much love!!
Thank God, you pulled through it 😁 💕
i have been wanna watch Lethal Weapon movie so now i can watch it with MJ
I was born in1964, the right drugs can do all those things..lovelovelove ❤️✌🏻❄️
Yes more 80’s and 90’s films
FYI the Air America story was 100% true. A movie was made about it as well and none other than Mr. Mel Gibson stars as the main charcter (the pilot) in the movie.
We were young once too so yes we know what u are talking about 😂💯💯💯💯
