    This message is for all the u tuber's who have given me such great information on these expride s B rods guys I was with 5 different high end rod companies and I was not happy at all. Cheap reel seats cheap guides and especially not properly balanced. And what I have learned over the past year about the technology of these rods it's the best in the industry and I just wanted to thank you all for all the great videos teaching me what the real difference is in a regular 280 dollar rods and the Shimano expride B rods and I can see there is no comparison whatsoever. Hey guys schimino THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE. Thank you all for convincing me that these are the rod's I need. God bless you and your families your pal fisherman Mike from Missouri. Ps thanks for the video Patrick.

    The Expride 6'10" Medium is arguably the greatest jerkbait rod in existence across any budget.
    The Expride 7'2" Medium Heavy Glass is best in class for chatterbaits.
    Both are technique specific models and while there are other rods on the market that can compete, most are well above the pricepoint of the Expride rods and when you compare the overall value of those rods to what you're going to get with the Expride equivalent, it's hard to argue that the Expride doesn't provide the most value.

    Love the 7’2 heavy for its versatility. For jigs over 3/8oz, larger paddle tails, and frogs just as you mentioned. It’s fine for heaving Carolina rigs too 👍

      Awesome! The 7’7H is another awesome model, with its moderate fast taper it’s great for Carolina rigs 👌🏽

    Great video! I recently got a really sick deal on the 68mh expride. Any idea what techniques it would be best suited for? I bought it to throw 3-5” keitechs etc.

      That rod can be a do everything rod! Great around shallow cover and docks for winding baits and lighter pitching baits.

    Will the 7'6" medium heavy be good for throwing jigs and T rigs? I use straight braid and I prefer a mod/fast action. Some are telling me this series is way too stiff for straight braid?

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the 7’6h with straight 50lb Power Pro and really enjoy it for t rigs and jigs in deeper weedline situations.
      It does what you need it to do, turns their heads and brings em to you!

    what would be a great all around rod? I want to be able to use 6inch swimbait to jerkbaits/cranks baits etc.

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s a tough one! I can’t honestly say that there is one rod that can cover that spectrum well. I think you would more than likely be looking at two rods to get the job done.

      @@patrickzajdel what two rods would would you suggest?

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@av_100series I think a 7’6mh in the Expride lineup would do the trick on the 6” swimbait, assuming it is a Magdraft style. That rod is super versatile and will do much more than just that. For jerkbaits and shallow crankbaits, one rod that can do both is the 6’10m Expride.

    So do you think the 7 foot 2 medium heavy glass rod is better for spinner baits? Or do you think the graphite medium heavy is better for spinnerbaits?

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally think that the 7’2mh is better for spinnerbaits than the 7’2mhg. Better ability to snap bait free from weeds and free up the blades and much better sensitivity to know exactly what is happening with the blades at all times.

    The 6"10 M+ is the most versatile rod I own ..

      The 6'10M is awesome - just grabbed one of the new Expride B in the 6'10M, going to be a great Jerkbait and topwater rod for me.

  • @steviegrey9131
    @steviegrey9131 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should try the 6'10" M for jerkbaits, great rod. The 7'2" H is a little stiff even for jigs IMO.

      @patrickzajdel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The way I fish, I’ve always been a fan of the 7’2H from Shimano for jigs. Have fished with the 6’10m and it’s an awesome rod! Tight lines!

    How is the medium 6’10 for shallow cranks?

    • @patrickzajdel
      @patrickzajdel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      6’10m can be good for shallow crankbaits! I prefer the Glass Composite rods for crankbaits. I personally use the 7’mg but the 6’10mg is very comparable if you like shorter rods.

      @@patrickzajdel thanks! I wanted to avoid glass since it’s heavier. I wanted to have one rod to throw my treble hook baits including jerkbaits and top waters, and mostly only shallower crank baits, or 1/2 oz lipless. Do you think the medium 610 (non glass) can keep fish hooked for all these techniques?
