Supported by violinist Ragini Shankar (Grand Daughter of Dr N. Rajam) and A renowned tabla player Akram Khan.
Raag Baageshri:
Bageshri is a Hindustani classical raga. It is a popular raga of the late-night, which is meant to depict the emotion of a woman waiting for reunion with her lover. Raag Bageshree played with the violin is a great combination to set up a Sur Mehfil. However, the video is apart from Bollywood genre but many film songs are based on Raag Bageshree like

Doctor Sahibah, buhat khoob, kia mahirana andaz say apni Bhagesuri ka violin per jaiza liya hai. Kia rachao hai, kia ghamk pr aboor hai apka, kaisi kaisi aap meendh khainch kr latay hain. Apkay giyyan dhiyan ki khoob khabr daitay day rahay hain. Rajni jee bhi khoob sath nibha rahi hain.
Mein nain yeh juo chand tooty phootay alfaz likhay hain yeh khood kuo khoosh kr raha hoon. Apki expertise kuo ehata-a-tehreer mein lana taqreeban na-mumkin hai. Aisa mukammil Violin zindgi mein pehli bar sunn raha hoon. Allah Malik-i-kainat apki ilm o maharat mein izafa furmain.

Sorry, Grannyji should be left alone, she is a class apart, just takes minutes to claim her forte, Bageshree. That depth is inimitable.
I'm pretty sure she is alone. This is not a jugalbandi concert. The other violinist is just an accompanist.
The greatness of Hindustani Classical Music is its highly creative nature ,the extemporizasion at its best. The generation after generation ,spanning 6 or 7 is no child's play ---that rarest of rare magic is magnificent. Apart from one MSG rare pundits can claim such melodic heights!.
Age cannot wither nor custom stale the infinite verity of Rajam"s mastery on violin😊😊😊
