Damn I remember playing raycrisis on the PS1. Such an unusual ship game... but cool as hell! I remember there was one ship that could shoot lightning or something, IDK. I didn't understand any of the lore as a kid, and I still don't as an adult, but all these sound effects are burned into my memory, like the boop boop boop boop of the targeting reticle. Also, nice playthrough
Oh you WILL love WR-03 Full chaining the whole game like its nothing Guaranteed 20mill+ if you are skilled enough, which is nuts Anyway, glad you enjoy the collection. Apparently there is a bonus game if you pre-order it back then. And its a playable Rayforce 1.5 demo (RayGear) Oh well, maybe one day 😢
WR-03 does seem wild yeah, all or nothing chaining ha. Apparently you can still get the R-Gear prototype if you order the physical from Strictly Limited Games, but your mileage may vary with that.
Infinity has different requirements on other ports. Here`s the requirements on the determined ports and modes: -Arcade ver. - Requirement: Encroachment must be at
There’s…a bit more to the arcade version than “encroachment must be below 20%” You are supposed to have “beat” the game on 5 different maps with the same profile. After that do the
WR-03 still needs the Encroachment requisites, it's just really busted and thus decent play helps loads in keeping it low enough. I only got a few runs with the normal ending on Ray'z Arcade Chronology out of an increasing multitude, but I can confirm that you *can* miss Infinity if you get particularly careless or unlucky. Furthermore it is 25% in the arcade version as well, or at least through M2's compilation. I've had runs with like 21% Encroachment and still made it to the TLB.
GG! I have a soft spot for both STG and early PS1/GameCube era 3D. This and Viewpoint tick so many boxes for me. If I understand the description correctly, this version means that - unless I want to somehow get the arcade versions - I can get this release for PS4 or Switch, and stop looking for anything else that will play well?
They're basically the definitive versions of the game yeah. There's a Steam version just announced after this video got published as well, which might be even more optimal.
As a result, I might shaft getting the switch version for the Steam one, not only for optimization but also to show m2 that the PC gaming space wants this stuff

great stuff! You handled that mech boss expertly. That second phase ends more than half of my runs it feels like.
One of my PS1 childhood shmup games along with Raiden 2, Thunderforce 5, Strikers 1945
You took my top position but…
Congrats for No Miss. I envy you.

I wish they were more able to realize the cyber-aesthetic during the stages, because the mechanical and thematic conceits of this game kick ass.
Amazing excellent play! I'm really glad that you've made use of so much information. It was worth writing about.
This game brings my memories back🥺
