It's the same here in Sweden, the roadsalt killed them. This one has been maintained and repaired, but I'll probably find issues anyway. My blue GS -74 was way worse, that subframe shouldn't have been repaired.
There are many manufacturers LHM and qualities, such as LHM+ or LHM. If the reserve was black, no doubt that inside the circuit it is not clear. For my "hydroens" I use "Hydraurinçage" from Total. Or, use a cheap LHM and several replacelents using the normal brake purges. These locations are cul-de-sac, it is the worst place for LHM. Particularly for rear brakes which are often stuck.
I think only Shell and Total are making LHM, but there's lot of brands. The LHM+ was an updated version for when the hydraktive system was launched in 1989. Where did you buy just LHM in modern times?
Excellent- best wishes for the restoration.
One more step in the process. Good stuff.
great job Man, hello from Indonesia, I still have a GSA and a GS break. this is exciting!
The reservoir and filters look great now.
You cleaned it up nicely, you are lucky to have so many spare parts as well.
👍💪✌
Brings back memories! What's it like underneath? Big problem in the UK was rust, particularly the rear subframe.
