    Great videos! Been to Iceland three times. Taking my daughter in late May. Plan to hit this spot. Question: have you shot video in the Westfjords? F66 is my favorite road in all of Iceland.

    • @VividIceland
      @VividIceland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have yet to go to the Westfjords - was a little too busy with work last summer. Hopefully this year I'll make my way out there. I'll go check out F66 if you recommend it! :)

    The river looks amazing. Can't you just hike up more upstream if it is raining? Those horses seemed very friendly. Is that a well known trait of that breed?
    Thanks man. This episode gave a little glimpse into the rural charm of Iceland. I bet the people that have that horse farm were interesting to meet.

    • @VividIceland
      @VividIceland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I think it should be possible to hike further upstream to get to a warmer section even if it's raining - not sure though as I haven't tried it!
      And yes - the horses here are very friendly to humans as they've never had a predator on the island to scare them. They can be quite curious!

    hello! I live in iceland I wanted to ask you a question, we are going this weekend to hverargerđi and I wanted to know if there are bathrooms upstairs in the hot springs or you have to carry everything yourself?

    • @VividIceland

    • @VividIceland
      @VividIceland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just watched his Iceland video and I know the hot spring that he visits that he calls "secret"... you can find it in one of our videos:

    Hi! Does this remain open in the 1st week of December?

    • @VividIceland
      @VividIceland  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it should be open all year round, just check the weather before going as the hike can take up to an hour to get there. If it's snowy or icy on the path, bring some microspikes or crampons.

    How high is the temperature of water?

    • @VividIceland
      @VividIceland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The temperature varies quite a bit along the length of the river but at the area with the wooden decks it is usually: 36°C - 40°C (96°F - 104°F)
      The higher up the river you go, the warmer it is. Avoid the river if it has been raining heavily the night before as the river will be a lot colder.
      Hope this helps!
