Finally someone points out the massive problems with the solution just being: Destroy the Black Market and just eat fish meat. I think a better solution would have been either adopting the sea beasts mentality, since it seems to work pretty well for them, or make a better legal market. I mean people in our world can become organ donors or donate their body to science, why not in the Beastars world they do something similar but for meat for the carnivores or something?

Most of the meat in the black market is actually donated by funerals and hospitals, however most of it is a front for the illegal trafficking of non consenting herbivores

I have a theory that while Carnivores have an innate desire to eat meat, it is not always due to hunger. Many times Carnivores that eat Herbivores (especially live Herbivores) bemoan a desire for a connection. It's interesting that it's almost always adult Carnivores that crave meat, the need for infant or child Carnivores is seemingly nonexistant or at least never discussed. My theory posits that Carnivores that consume meat (outside of simply being hungry) are actually seeking a connection with an Herbivore, but they lack the understanding of their own nature to do so in a non-violent manner. We have seen it is possible for Carnivores to overcome their desire for meat, and the fact that some Herbivores willingly submit to Carnivores when they lose control suggests even the Herbivores seek this connection, even if it kills them.
So what Carnivores truly need to overcome the desire for meat is a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship with an Herbivore. The Life Animals & Nature Animals coexisted for thousands of years with predation being more or less nonexistant. So it can be done.

Why arent there more videos centering around the black market? I thought id get abunch of video essays discussing it, but this is ine of the few. That REALLY suprises me! Theres so much that can be discussed, such as how the government trys to ignore the market, rather than cintrol, regulate, or dispurse it, for they want to stay away from it, fearing contaversy. The idea of the black makret resembles a drug market, a place where people can get “meds” that the government refuses to supply them with, as well as acknolwedge the carnivors pain. However, the lack of regulation has caused illegal practices and addiction. There is no control, no order, the “drug” market us being controled by a literal predatory buisness. I love discussing this! There are so many debates to be had.

Interesting, this opens me a new perspective for how I could utilize it for my own story of Beastars. I used to see that place on a very bad light, but now I can see that it can also be used for good

If there are less fish from over fishing that means less carnivores cause they have more food. Then more fish cause they have less predators and then more predators as there is more food. It's a cycle.
