    For ink stains, I've had great luck with a product called "S-32" which represents that it safely removes spots and stains from garments, upholstery, draperies, carpets and vinyl materials. It is manufactured by the Gator Chemical Company of Largo Florida 33544. The local grocery store used to carry it but I have not been able to find it recently but I plan to search for another source. I've used it for years and it really works well on even difficult stains such as ink. It lists the following stains and spots it will remove: grease, baby formula, oil, blood, perspiration, medicines, tar, lipsticks, shoe polish, cosmetics, most inks, crayon, pencil, smoke film, pet stains, beverages, food, juices, glue, adhesives, tobacco, and mildew stains.

    Do you always hold down the trigger when extracting ? Or when do you usually use it, that’s something I’ve always wondered because I’m planning on getting the aqua pro vac

    • @helifan2346
      @helifan2346 ปีที่แล้ว

      When extracting
      You hold down the trigger to get the chemical mixed with water on the seats. That would help remove the stains and extract whatever is in the seat cloth/fabric. You will notice as you extract in the clear nozzle dark water getting in the hose, as soon as you see clear water, that’s when the seat fabric is “clean”. That’s when you stop using the chemical mixed with water and just use the extractor to vacuum up whatever is left of water. As Oscar is showing here, you may need to use the drill brush several times between the extractor and the drill brush.
      Use a rag, tap it on the seats fabric, this would help on some light stains. Do it as you would use the extractor, dragging the rag.
      Have a bucket of clean water on the side and get the rag inside the water and the brushes too, often, and you will see how the water gets dirty and you will have clean brushes and not crisscross whatever is on plastics.
      Use several cheap rags
      This is why cleaning interiors gets expensive and you charge accordingly
      Don’t over sature the seats, it would take a full day or two to get it dry if you use a lot of water
      Usually I ask the customer if they would let me remove the backseat, just 2 screws that holds them, that way I can get it clean outside the car.
      After that I would tell them about liability, I’m not responsible of whatever happens during/after I finish with my job
      Don’t remove baby seats, NEVER! They need to remove it and put it back. That’s a liability on your part if you touch it

    Is that a 2009 model? I drive a silver Toyota Corolla S of that year. I LOVE it and it is my first car.

    Also a strong shop vac and lily brush could work

    Ha! I JUST detailed a co-workers silver 2013 Corolla. It wasn’t as bad as this one but it was close! He has two dogs and good Lordy do those little hairs get stuck in that fabric.

    I'd try a heavy duty industrial solvent like layout dye remover or 99% isopropyl alcohol. Very harsh and would probably want to spot test it to make sure it's safe for the fabric but may be one of the few things strong enough to take it out.

    What I have found that works the best on ink as well as other stains is rubbing alcohol plus it helps with the drying process. Sometimes, I will use a mixture of Blue Dawn dish soap and rubbing alcohol. Just also wanted to mention, that you do an awesome job with the products you use!

    I know this vids a month old but for that ink stain, have you ever tried Citrol on that. It's about $55 a gallon but wow that stuff has taken out a lot of stains and marks from cloth and hard surfaces.

    would you advise against using oxiclean on cloth seats?

    • @karichiewilson

      I was wondering about that too, after seeing the ink stain.

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly I've never thought about that either lol. But it can be effective since it's still cleaning a cloth material. So if you do use it, start off with a tiny amount to see how it reacts

    Do you prefer that the customers take the seats out?? Does that make the detail faster???

    I use hairspray (a cheap brand like Aquanet) is what I use to get ink out of clothing. I’d just spray and blot with a cotton cloth. Good luck!!
    First time watching your videos. I was expecting you would remove the front seats & console. Probably would have been easier 😬

    For the ink stain, go see a dry cleaner and see what they use.

    Try blotting rubbing alcohol on the stain then blot/twist to lift the ink. It's not 100% foolproof but will does a great job of pulling a lot out. Not sure if the extractor pulled more out and made more of a mess?

    • @DetailGroove
      @DetailGroove  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll give that a try. Everything I did help to some extent. But not enough to really get everything out

    For the ink stain Auto Magic Detail Products carries a gallon called "Enzyme" pretty solid product they also have fabric & upholstery chemicals pretty nifty stuff..
    I know there are a dozen other companies to suggest, secondary product would be Meguiar's Red Degreaser. 💬
