    I saw that product video on Vegh's channel and thought it was really nice presentation of it but lacked technical info. Glad I found that info on this video of yours and nice to see that the product video is a collaboration! Great job!

    I only shot the Turkish fiberglass from Ali bow. It’s super consistent and accurate at 10-15 m. It has a back wall so as soon as I hit that wall during the draw I let go and it really helps with consistency. Other bow draws just feel like it goes on forever

    • @kaikart123

      Turkish bows are made to be drawn up to 28", 29" maybe if you force it. Other bows like Manchu bows and Yumi bows are made to be drawn up to 35" so it's different for each bow designs and you can't compare them just like that.

    • @Peter-ve6kz
      @Peter-ve6kz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kaikart123 Then what’s the point in comparing anything? Comparison gives indication of what works in terms of design and choice of material.
      Good bow wood > horn composite
      Horn composite > bad bow wood
      Recurve > longbow
      Design x > design y
      Long draw > short draw
      Yumi design for example is only the product of poor materials and functionality. Long bows can be drawn a long way elb or yumi doesn’t matter. Ears on recurve designs give longer draw because of string angle which gives those recurves the benefits of longer bows but in a short package.

    Thank you for a nice video. My Osman Bow from Vègh Bow is 34#/28". Is a very nice bow. Actually it's my main bow. I can confirm all points from the video except the shock: mine has a pretty hard shock. I deal against it with heavy arrows (I like heavy arrows) and another string. Despite it I like this bow very much.

    • @CharliesRunningArchery
      @CharliesRunningArchery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Big hand shock? That surprises me. But I’m glad you found a way how to resolve it for yourself so you can have the bow.

    Türkiye'den selam. Türklerin başarılı olmasının kesinlikle en büyük sebebi bu ok ve yay kesinlikle. Türk kılıçları da çağının ötesindeydi ama genelde kılıç kullanmaya hiç gerek kalmazdı. Sadece ok atarak çok büyük Roma ve Çin ordularını küçük birliklerle yeniyorduk. Yabancı kaynaklar hep bundan bahsetmiş.

      Definitely, Turks were super efficient, dangerous and powerful. I’m just curious (hypothetically) what would happen when Turks meet Mongolians… Computer simulation would be enough , otherwise so many good lives would be lost.

    43 pounds at 28 inch?
    If memory serves, you lose 2.5 pounds per inch under the rated draw length.
    Because of a physical deformity, my draw length is 23.5 to 24 inches.
    The state I live in requires a 40 pound draw weight AT THE SHOOTERS DRAW LENGTH for hunting. Therefore, this bow will be illegal FOR ME to hunt with, since my effective draw weaight would be around 30.5 pounds. (depending n the bow. I know a production bow may be one to 5 pounds different, high or low, from the one made immediately before and after.)
    Because of my short draw length, I always buy a heavier bow. 50-55 pound draw minimum, unless a compound bow, which generally speaking can be set for the maximum draw weight (or slightly above) at a short draw length. (My Diamond Razor Edge with "60 pound" limbs maxes out at 63.5 pounds when set for a 23.5 inch draw length.)
    Do they make this bow with a 50 to 55 pound, or 55 to 60 pound, or even 60 to 65 pound draw at 28 inches?
    Are the limbs wood, fiberglass/carbon fiber, or wood/fiberglass/carbon fiber laminate? Does it HAVE to be unstrung between shooting sessions?

      @cagataynazmiakay3289 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CharliesRunningArchery Sorry my mistake it wasn't 170 lbs but still, the bow you have isn't as powerful as a traditional Turkish bow. It is supposed to be 100 lbs approximately. Mongolians were sending their arrows to more than 500 meters away back then. That needed a lot of draw weight. Horns were being used as parts of the bow traditionally.
