Awesome video, dear friend! 👊😁 I haven’t shot a Metbow so far, so I don’t know the difference compared to a Simsek for example… My personal top 5 are: 1) Dacian 2) Hornbows 62 or 64 3) Saracen and Turkish bows 4) Khan, Raider and Griffin 5) Nökhör, Xiaoshao and Zhu Ran and the Korean bows and the Seljuk is lovely to shoot but not easy to string and… in the end I love them all! 🤪😁
Hi Charlie, nice Vid there :) My top five bowa are: 1. Paragon Bows Griffin 2. Simons Bow Company Raptor 3. Paragon Bows Raider 4. Grozer BC Assyrian 5. Daylite Archery Majesty 3K Cross Carbon Korean Bow
I have the Alibow Turkish and like it. Recently I bought the Menyuan Crab Bow from Nika Archery. (The new one that just came out--not the toy one of some years ago). It was about $156 delivered here in the US. It is a solid glass--takedown (reduces shipping). This bow is utterly gorgeous, matt black with gorgeous curves.! Shoots much better than I do! Armin Hirmir reviewed it. I hope you will also review it, Charlie!
I was expecting the Assyrian or Turkish to be first. Also Charlie can I say thank you. Your videos and archery are helping me through a lot in the past year and now I have also started moving while shooting because of you so just thank you.
Thanks for this video! I have been doing a ton of research on Asiatic bows and I think I am going to try the Assyrian bow from Bogar. It seems this is still a good choice?
I never got the chance to try many bows since most archers in my area shoot Olympic or compound, so my list is going to be limited to my personal collection. 5. Alibow Qinghai fiberglass 4. Daylite Phoenix 3. Freddie Nomad KTB 2. AF Zhu Ran gen.2 1. Freddie Warrior My first bow was a Nomadwarrior Fiberglass Nomad from Canyon Coppola. Good starter bow, but later on I found out that I wasn't a fan of short bows, like anything below 50". Now saving for a Mariner bow.
A toptier list is always hard, depends on what you want. for you it is easy you need, want a bow for running archery. I am more trying out all the different designs to see what I like most. Currently I would rank my bows like that. 1) Crimean Tartar L2 by Grozer (this is a laminated bow with a carbon belly) easy to shoot and very powerful due to the carbon backing. 2) Crimean Tartar by Alibow not as powerful as the first, and due to the Fiberglass a much smoother draw. The It would be a tie with my other bows as I do not shoot them as much as my Tartars. 3)Turkish by Alibow cute little bow, but feels quite nervous and if you do like long draw this is not for you only 29 inch draw. 3)Kaya TKB a korean bow with the traditional handle, and very nice decorations. You need a bit of a different shootingstye, due to the handle. But like the Grozer bow, quite powerfull for its poundage. 3) Yarha II by Alibow. A long manchu style bow. If you just need to hurl some really huge arrows downfield this is the bow. A good bow for releasing stress, makes a very satisfying sound when the arrows hit the target.
I have just 3 bows so: 1. Grozer biocomposite Tatar 2. AF archery Que Yue turkish bow 3. Grozer biocomposite Hungarian - long did you ever try simsek bows?
I bought the Alibow Turkish last year, and understood something about myself. I don't enjoy the short draw that much. So, 1. Korean style (White Feather Forever Carbon 53" with 33" max draw) - light, longer draw, snappy, good looking, comfortable grip. Definitely my kind of bow. I haven't tried a Manchu style bow yet, so that might be in my future. Perhaps an even longer draw is even more fun? I know I won't go into Yumi/Longbow, because transportation is a thing :) 2. Simsek Ay (Crescent) - a low draw weight bow that takes the punishment of me drawing it to 32" and continues to work well, but I have since leveled up the draw weight. Looks like it is indestructible. 3. Alibow Turkish, a good bow, just not for me.
Yes the turkish from Alibow has quite a sort draw with 29 inch. I like it but it feels quite unstable due to the small size and the short draw. Try a crimean tartar, similar design but longer limbs and longer draw. For me they are the sweetspot in regards of length and beeing easy to handle. Could also be that my first asiatic bow was a Tartar.
@@thomaskurz5617yeah, the Simsek "beginner" bow is the Crimean Tatar design (but stated 29" max draw, which I totally overdraw 😛). Good design, no complaints there.
Hi Sir,I admire your passion for archery.I want to become like you as you are my idol.but the thing is that i have been practicing archery for two years and have noticed that i like heavy horsebows like some 50,60,or70 lbs.So do you know any "Mongolian Horsebow" which is good as per you and is 60... Lbs. Thanks.
@@CharliesRunningArchery Thats also what I heard, "Any" Bows. But I still enjoy this way of shooting also, is my latest adventure/style. Hi Charlie! Here are my top 5 horsebows:
5. Metbows Turkish
4. Bogar Assyrian
3. AF Archery Turkish updated

The Bear Magnum 45#, 38" is the best of my bow collection out of ten bows so far.
Cool!
That's a hell of a bow.👌

Great video ... just curious as to what your draw weight and draw length is on that bow! Thanks and God bless!

Need it short because in movement you have no chance to draw over 29. It's more like 27ish :)

You should try Vegh Turkish bow then. Max draw 33" , advised 31" Smooth, fast, no handshock . Zodziu geras lankas! :)
Thanks for the recommendations! Have ever tried any of the Atilla's bows?
I haven't :(
@@CharliesRunningArchery It is a Hungarian company. I have 2 of their bows. They are quite good.
Excellent video, Thank you! Nokhor vs AF Horse?
I have not tested AF Horse so sorry, can't tell :(
I have the Nokhor from Alibow. I like it!
Hai great to see this. Any tips on a long draw Turkish style bow?
Not that I know of... sorry :/
What do you all recommend for smaller hands and shorter draw length
Turkish bow ;) just random one
Nice video, but are all the bows for people with short arms? Need a bow with draw length min 34/35inch :P
Long draw and running archery are not a good match. So that''s why I have no longer draw bows on my list at all :)
Incredible video!
Definitely:
1) mariner ming moon
2) daylite majesty
3) alibow tatar
Alibow Tatar is amazing too :)
When you say another for shipping and custom to US. How much in range are we talking?
I do not know how is it with US, but here in Europe it was another about 100 dollars.

Hi, honestly I don’t have a specific bow on my mind now. Try Vegh Bows or Alibow :)
@@CharliesRunningArchery Thanks for replying,Sir😀.
I've seen lots of good comments about Samick Co bows.
For me the best bow is the comanche short bow only💪😁
Pretty bows!
can i have one of your bows ? i want to get bac in touch with some of my traditional teachings and learn our old ways of hunting.
Amazon carries Alibow Turkish bows.
Great! Thanks for information!
True. I got the 41" turkish bow, but I had to send it back because the draw length was only about 26".
Black widow PSR 3 /Black widow KB green leaf/ Black widow PL green leaf. 😊😊😊😊😊
1: SKB
2: Sanlida Osprey
3: Oneida Phoenix
4: Hoyt RX8 carbon
5: RPM Nitro
Oneida Phoenix is #1 out of those by far
But none of those are good for running archery....boy you definitely didn't get the point of this video lol
Tried non of them... thanks for tips.
Robin Hood: I asked for 5 favorite bows, not the best for running archery. So he got it right :) It was free form question :)
