You can tell the movement of Tails and Knuckles' punch are already much more controllable. Heroes with tighter controls like the Adventure games would be SICK!!
Definitely my favourite thing here, it's actually frustrating in the original that you cannot use Tails/the other flying characters on their own without killing the other 2 first.

one thing that is catching my attention and i'm loving is how vibrant it looks, it's not just like "rtx on" and slapping realistic lighting and textures, it's preserving the original game's identity and art direction and on top of that giving it a beautifull new shimmer of life! It can pretty much be tunned a bit more, but it's looking very pleasing as is! Heroes has a very special place in my heart, i didn't play it that much at all but i remember having it for the PS2, the image of Sonic Heroes allways felt to me like "yeah this is what sonic looks like" vibrant colors, imaginative and magical stages, it just has that vibe on it's soul, and that resonated with me a lot when i was younger, so seeing this is very lovely, awesome work.
considering it's so early in development this is EXTREMELY impressive and I really hope this awesome project has no complications in the future that will result in cancellation :)
I was going to say, I hope if this project picks up it gets the P06 treatment with tweaks and refinements to the physics and level design, maybe even add little animals pop out of the enemies.
I think the run in heros is fine, but you should be able to choose what running animations you want, such as the adventure runs, or more modern ones like generations of frontiers or something like that, I really like what im seeing, and cant wait for more, keep up the great work!
With the amount of effort it takes to both find and get this game running on PC today, a recreation (with some minor improvements) could really help keep this game from being forgotten. Stay the course Beatz. I'll be keeping eyes on this project with great interest.

Playing on GameCube back then: I'm eager to get my new glasses so I can appreciate the graphics! Playing PS3 digital store on a modern TV: It looks so blurry... (remove my glasses) Ah! It looks normal now. So like other old school games, pure porting is generally a bit raw, whereas with a small upgrade it will feel like in our memories!
This looks like the most accurate remake of an old game I've ever seen. This looks like something Sega Corporate could easily and comfortably endorse and even compensate you for. Like genuinely. (Subbed with notifs btw. Def gonna follow this project!)
Big fan of this beatz, everything looks on point and really fun. HOWEVER i have one issue. The motion blur is mostly fine throughout but i feel it could be toned down just a bit. Especially at the start of the video on that close up shot, you lose sight of a majority of the objects you move past, and it makes the intro look akward.
i love that you can play as tails without being forced into that awkward formation, that's how it should had always been, can't wait to see how the project evolves, it looking pretty good!

This is STUNNING! I love that Tails can be controlled separately! That was my least favourite part of heroes growing up, as if I wanted to play as a single flight character, I would have to use them in multiplayer after the other two got eliminated.
This is awesome! The robots damage effoect could use some tinkering, and the loop de loops can be smoother, but the characters and lighting and textures are absolutely stunning.
Removing the slipperiness does wonders for the feel of the game, everything looks amazing! My one and only request is figuring out how to maintain the forward momentum from a lightspeed dash, as I've always had personal issue with how lightspeed works in the newer Sonic games. The sudden stop just kills all the flow imo, but again, everything looks great!

It is yes, but you need to know the technical details as well not just a boilerplate tag you slap on a game, this isn't a remaster even tho it looks like one on the surface, its a remake from scratch made to look like a remaster, the games been redone from scratch in another engine, many industry games also confuse these terms even tho their games were technically remade not remastered, the act of remastering is taking the same game and just sprucing the visuals, while its still running on the original engine, which this is not, its in Unity

I love Heroes' level design, and it's just the most suited for a remake. This is not only impressive but also conceptually great. One thing I'd recommend is making the spin animation of the character icons just a little bit faster. Maybe even add a little blur effect but that's just for fun.

I'm looking at this, wondering how the thundershoot could work, and I'm thinking, maybe it could be a load-up feature, like how Knuckles grabs Sonic and Tails for his attacks. Like, you press a button as Tails to have Sonic and Knuckles come in and make the tower, you shoot them, but they don't automatically come back to rejoin the tower. You have shoot both of them, and the reactivate the tower again. I don't know if that'll effect the pacing of combat, but it could be used to keep the few benefits of the tower. I actually use the Flight tower for pressing down switches, as I sometime find it's awkward to get the other character on the those switches. But hey, maybe it's just me. This does look like an improvement

There wasn't a single Thunder Shoot use and his tower formation isn't here as he runs/flies normally with his friends following like in Sonic. I prefer him being more like his 2D or Adventure 1 counterpart but his Heroes design has a good reason given enemies and interactions in the game which obviously aren't a thing in this level.
I miss the days when the characters in the games gave you direct voice over'd instructions on how to play. There's something charming about Sonic and co saying "Press these buttons to do this thing!" But you don't get that as much these days because it breaks "immersion"
So after watching the video I can confidently say this is incredible there's definitely some places that could use some fine tuning, like the models clipping through the geometry in certain sections. But overall I'm impressed. Heroes was my first 3D Sonic game so I basically know this game inside and out. As someone who has experienced the misery of removing all the lod meshes and adding the plants back to this stage in unity my hat goes off to you.

I'n this case it's on purpose. Heroes tightness at high speeds was part of the slippery complaints
