Also, as a suggestion, since Mario is carrying a lantern that leads me to believe that the castle is supposed to be in a state of disrepair. If you can manage in the full game, then you might want to try and put that look into play. Only if you can manage though.
I think the dev should just roll with the "mistery" typo and put a mist mechanic in some rooms (not all). Since the princess is already black and white, she could pop out close to you at any time. There could be ways to clear the mist out and make a room safer over time.

This is so interesting! As a writer who does Super Mario fan fiction I’m especially excited for more of the story, I can’t wait for the full game to come so it can be revealed! I already wrote a short story inspired by the demo. It’s not really the same thing but it wouldn’t be around without this game! It’s on Wattpad and is a chapter in “Super Mario Stories” When the full game is released I may do a continuation inspired by it too!

This game really has an interesting concept i liked it. I have some questions about this game; 1- Mario has faced more powerful enemies in the past so why would he need to hide from an evil princess? 2- Where was Mario during the 5 years? Also i have some suggestions; 1- You can add toads to outside, they can warn mario about the evil princess at the beginning of the game and then disappear after we enter the castle. 2- This game shouldn't have a ''happy'' ending like ''The main enemy is defeated and everything turned to normal'' Good luck with your game :)
Well it's been a few years since his last adventure and it also didn't end well, so he isn't as powerful as he used to be. Also i guess he needed a break. There will be some Toads here and there and i think i know what they can do. I haven't really thought about the ending but it will be something not too happy

I have been able to see videos of this game (because my laptop was damaged) but I must tell you that in my more than 5 years watching fangames, Hack roms, etc. This is my favorite fan project everything he has is just perfect, I hope Nintendo doesn't find out about this. (And please, even if the full game comes out, don't delete this demo because I want to play it when it fixes my PC, I like demos)

I liked the trailer a lot, something to add to the game is that in the final game you put the infinite stairs, a fight against bosses,🤡 a reference to the game without being reported by Nintendo (be careful with that CM9 Animation because if not. ..) and finally get into the water getting a skill or something like that last Goodbye and Thank you.

I can’t wait for the full game to be released! Another theory was that will Luigi be there to help Mario? Or was he gone too. There’s so many unanswered questions but I am so thrilled!!!💜
I think I have some theories of what happen to peach, but they aren’t facts just something to think about. -peach could’ve died by someone but we don’t know who did it, it can be anyone we know it can’t be mario since he just came back five years to check on the castle. -mario must be having a hallucination of ghost that looks like peach now avoiding the ghost of the one he loves probably from a heavy guild of not saving her. -the statuteets could represent Mario’s memory’s when mario went to save peach at the castle of sorts. So mario collect these to remeber what happen to peach so he can piece together what happen like a puzzle. But then again they are just theories I don’t wanna type it out like I’m saying it’s facts just wanna make it clear it’s just some random theory’s in mind.

The game is really good, I happened to see it today and played it. in the palace garden the ghost cannot catch you in the fountain. moreover, I stood close to the spirit and he's just turned around, maybe you can do something with the AI
What if for the next chapter/full release you put another horror character like Luigi but zombies IED, or maybe Something to do with Bowser or Yoshi? The possibilities are endless!
@@CM9Animation Ah okay. Hopefully, changing the difficulties won't affect the outcome. Also, maybe for easy, Peach won't try to capture Mario the moment he's hiding. And also, there'll be a visual reminder that Peach is nearby. Now that I think about it, the game should have a way to make exiting the room less stressful, as the idea that Peach is outside nearby the moment she leaves often can be a pace breaker.

@@CM9Animation there could be a monster version of mario and Luigi to get you. And there could be a classic version where you are supposed to beat 8 nights at peach's castle after you beat the standard mode. Like the fnaw franchise. And the animatronic's would look withered.
