    Praise God for your ministry. It has helped me with many questions I've had and continue to have on certain passages of scripture. The Lord bless you and keep you. 🙏

      I've been seeking God through this ministry for many years and I pray to continue to seek God until the very end.

    I've seen the fourth step done....and it usually results in the full restoration of the individual. They don't get kicked out but taken off the membership role, stripped of all leadership.

      And even when they're restored, they can be used in the church again, but not always to the former position.

    15:30 thank you for that. I haven’t thought about it that way

    And church discipline should only involved the members only. Maybe a business meeting or dismissing the guests at the conclusion of a service.

    Have churches ever hacked phones or put cameras in peoples homes without the person being disciplined knowledge ?

    I would like to know your take on who makes the final call in church discipline: the pastor, elders, or congregation?

    This is a really helpful, edifying programme, however, I find the constant knife noises very distracting and rather grating. Sorry 😖

    Very interesting, thank you. Not sure though about the degree of gentleness involved: didn't Paul tell the Corinthians to deliver a particular man to the devil?

    • @deanfry879
      @deanfry879 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, Paul did tell the Corinthians to do something like that, but he later told them to accept him again when that man came to his senses. Paul talks to Timothy about handing two men over to Satan to be "taught not the blaspheme." That there should be that effect is counterintuitive to us. But so is "A gentle tougue can break a bone" (Proverbs 25:15). If we cannot think of a way to do everything God commands with gentleness, then we do not know God's gentleness toward us (see I John 4:19).

    I wish my church did that to me. But they didn’t. Sovereignty of God?

    Church discipline is important, and that should be obvious, though actually addressing it when needed isn't something most Christians are observant and vigilant about. This is more than "church discipline" however, and it would be better to refer to this topic as edification amongst believers, as even discipline falls into this main category of edification. Lastly, my only criticism of this discussion was the clarification of "sin". We all sin, as was said in this video at one point, but more importantly it should've been pointed out as something that was observed or confessed about that is habitual, consistent, and is being willfully ignored or not taken seriously by the sinner when confronted.

    What is difference between a false prophet and someone has just been deceived?

    • @deanfry879
      @deanfry879 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      False prophets are a subset of the deceived, but they are much more aggressive in promoting something they imagine to be important.

    • @veritaslux644
      @veritaslux644 ปีที่แล้ว

      When Mathew 18 is followed then that exposes who is the deceiver and false prophet and also miraculously draws the unrepentant sinner(s)towards Christ, or the wicked flee from Christs loving family or church, until they are ready to reconcile with Christ. When sinners repent they are forgiven and welcomed back into the Church! This is only way to stop sin and heal the hardened hearted! and simultaneously comforts and heals the victims of sin! Those refusing to follow Gods loving scriptures are enablers of sin, false witnesses, and they are in serious sin against God!
      This is how to keep the marriage and family and church pure and undefiled! If we sin and don’t follow these scriptures then Jesus will leave the Church or family or relationship and we or family or church become cults/synagogues of Satan! There are many false Churches!

    You three guys are just as lost as those who willfully sin and resent God. How can you have church discipline on a general level as a whole without first having church discipline a individual level first?

    • @__-tn6hw
      @__-tn6hw ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Where do they reject personal discipline? The way I see it,* this video just focuses on the church's responsibility to hold each-other accountable, whether or not an individual should be accountable of themselves.

      The beginning is about how disagreements are supposed to be handled individually, between the two people. Kevin said that’s what they do at his church.

    The most obscene word in English is "discipline." The only term that is more disgusting is "church discipline.'
