I just got my copy of this deck, too. These cards are just... the art does such a good job at evoking so many different feelings. Seriously close to tears during my first reading with this deck. And the spreads in the book looks amazing!
This deck has stayed with me. Just turning the cards evoked emotional responses. I have been doing this work all my life, and I'm not young! However today I realized, i am enough. I agree with you, this is not normally an art style that I’d gravitate to, but that really is such a wonderful and deep deck! Also, I noticed on the “contempt” card, it looks like the figure on the right could be holding a mirror that’s is reflecting the figure on the left - like the left figure is pointing out ‘awful’ things in the right figure but it’s really just the things they hate about themselves.
I’m a little late to the game on this video 😅 I can’t tell you how many times I’d seen this deck and immediately thought “no way, definitely not my style!”. I really want to do shadow work and came across your video while in search of a good oracle to use and thought I’d go ahead and just see what this deck has to offer…. And omg, I am shocked at how amazing it is! Half way through I paused your video and went and purchased it 😂 Never judge a book by its cover, or in this case, a deck by its art alone! This deck is so dang easy to read intuitively and that’s exactly what I need. Your videos are always my favorite and I love how you’re able to show decks and able to give real world examples and input!

I was looking for a deck to actually deal with the fact that I never thought of who I am and how I want to live or what I need. The more I look at this the more I see myself and how this could be the deck to „reclaim“ who I am. This is usually not my art style (not to mention that my deck collection is all over the place art-wise) but I think I fell in love with it fast. I feel like this deck could pair really well with the Deviant Moon Tarot. I feel like this could be a really healing deck, but use with caution if you're dealing with depression.
To be perfectly honest I was expecting myself not wanting this deck because of the art style, but like you said, it feels very very hmm how to say, connected to the human experience. Can't wait for the next TFR stream to grow my wishlist XD
Lisa your walk throughs are the best. Sometimes you need to hear some actual thoughts & ideas to jump off with. U helped me so much with like The Heavenly Bodies Astrology deck...I couldn’t find any video that showed more than just the cards themselves. But I have seen this deck & did not think anything about it...Now I really would love it. I think for readings for my fam would be amazing. Right now we have a lot of anniversaries but not good ones...I think it helps to have these words get the thoughts moving. Idk but I really really love it. The betrayal I think it was...the heart fist making a home in chest...I could feel it! The humiliation card. Contempt...just wow. I can’t wait to hear what the guidebook says. I think I’m getting this for sure.
I love black edges and all black cards because I can be sitting on the couch & not worry about washing my hands & grab it when I have a thought...happens like that a lot. I do a reading everyday but it’s never planned. I also like having words that can help me explain myself...I was thinking of reading the Anger card to my 8yr son. I also have a lot of stuff going on...fam that’s been separated are coming back, & I’m legit scared. I think this is going to help when I have things repeating in my mind at night Over & over. I dread that! But I can picture pulling one of these cards & jotting something down when it happens. Thanks Lisa I’m so happy I actually saw the deck...I would’ve missed it!

I absolutely love this deck! It is not my style at all, and would normally just flow right by it, but this speaks to me so much and I know i need this deck. I just really hate living abroad, and so shipping is almost as much as the deck itself :( I find it so hard to justify, also knowing I will get customs charges on top).

So my deck has arrived and I have been experimenting with pairings. Found it goes great with Dark Days, Blind the Sun, Story Medicine, and goes amazingly well with the Intuitive Night Goddess. Did not pair well at all with Many Queens, Spacious Tarot or Hilda.

I love the theme and the keywords, but the art-style and images don't speak to me at all. For my own shadow work and healing I need a deck where the artwork really speaks to my soul; that I can meditate on the image, sit with the emotion, or even pathwork into a "scene". Colour is important to me too, I need to be looking at colours which invoke my emotions - monochrome images don't allow me to tap into my emotions. Thank you for sharing. I can see this deck will be helpful for a lot of people, its just not for me.
