I loved your observations here, some of which I hadn't noticed (the keyhole on the Ace of Swords!). Also interesting use of chess as a metaphor for the 5 of Wands here - I agree "competition" or even "practice" works for the analogy with RWS version of the card. I've also seen chess used effectively as a 4 of Swords option, which works well for something like "stalemate" or in some contexts, perhaps just using mental acuity for a fun activity like playing board games.

I'm just looking at this video because I'm trying to decipher feelings for the ace of swords with the 5 of swords...I was right with the depiction of the 5 of swords. She holds that piece that completes him. There's a song that came to mind when you said there is a hole where his heart should be. Ty ☺️

am I crazy....I do not, do not! like guilded edges ( most of the time)...they bother my hands...I am not a fan of how they look and so........I sanded the guilding off....and now I love this deck along with my oracle of the same title

There were several elements about this deck that put me off when it came out, but I think on viewing this, I've finally come around and the time is now right for me to add it to my collection. I got mine in the post today and I LOVE IT!!! I have taken the male cards to use, for a more balanced deck, with the exception of the emperor, which I haven't decided yet because they're both gorgeous.
I have been wanting and waiting for this deck for so long ( I live in Australia and we have to wait longer ), until you posted this video I managed to avoid all walk throughs, knowing in my heart it would be beautiful. But could not resist this time. I am with you matt card stock is great, but glossy sure does make the colors pop. The tower card is perfect, made me feel better about my own tower moments.
I have to tell you that the way you explain what you see in the images on the cards really helps me to understand thwem better thank you !! I love this deck and will be buying it today !!
Loved watching this walkthrough!! I’ve had this deck for a couple weeks and it’s absolutely a new favorite...it just instantly spoke so clearly. I think I ended up choosing to use all four male kings too, which surprised me because I was expecting to be excited about the female kings but as it turned out I happened to genuinely prefer the symbolism on the male versions. I still haven’t decided which emperor I prefer more though...I keep switching back and forth! 😆
This is a really pretty deck but for some reason I haven't done any readings with it yet. But I will. Every once in a while I pull it out just to look at the cards though.
I bought the german version because in the netherlands the deck is coming out in April and could not wait anymore. The guide book is a bit of a struggle, but it is good to strengthen my intuition, because I dont grab the guidebook.
I LOVEEEE this deck! Since the moment I received it, I have been using it. I also have her oracle and found it hard to connect to the image with the titles at first but I just kept to the guidebook for awhile and now love that one as well. I have used both together and while I wish they "matched" better, I'm ok with it, I suppose because I don't read professionally. Regarding the script on the Knight of Swords dress, it is in regards to women's equal rights.
I haven't felt drawn to surreal deck art (Boho Tarot has shown some like that...this reminds me of her "Madam Willamina's..." except several steps less creepy, haha), but I did find myself really captivated by these images this time! So seamless and lush and just plain interesting!
Thanks for your comprehensive view of this deck. I can always rely on you for a clear-eyed perspective. Love this deck but waiting so impatiently to get it because it isn't released to the UK until April. It's such beautiful imagery and a high quality mass market deck. I think US Games inc need to ship internationally though.
