Idea why the zipper on the Simms is tough to close on those two points?

I have the Orvis bag love it holds three rods in tubes and has room for what ever you need

How was your trip to Alaska? Where did you fly out to? I lived in Anchorage and have fished all over Alaska over 20 years. Mostly the Kenai Peninsula. Several times to the Naknek River though. Great trout fishing there.
Flew to Igiugig, on the Kvichack River.
