This was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. She is a natural *dramatic contralto* (VERY deep!) which is rare in females but exceptionally rare in someone so young! Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Primorsky Territory, northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It made it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia. Also, Diana's TH-cam channel usually has human-translations into English. which is useful for her Russian-Language songs and for English captions to judge's reactions when she sings in competitions. Welcome to the world of this insanely talented young Russian lady, Diana Ankudinova. She's next level. Never known anyone like her in my 50+ years on this earth. And she was just 15 here (now 19). She has a lot of songs - originals and covers - so you are in for an amazing journey! She is the consummate artist but also a very beautiful person (with a tragic backstory). I would recommend Rechenka, Dernier Danse (both performed around the age of 14), and also The Crow and Can't Help falling in Love (both age 18) but really there are man more that could be recommended. Don't worry about only just finding out about her. Thank you for letting more people know about her.

'Rechenka' ( is in Russian but don't need lyrics to feel the emotions portrayed here, 'Human' -- quite primal / tribal and a cute facial expression at end, 'Dernier Dance', is in French ( Diana has also sung in Spanish and i think one other language, Can't Help Falling in Love -- Brilliant performance - suggest with one you watch vid to end to get judges comments - are in Russian with English subtitles. Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.

Greetings from Scotland! Deep timbre is a natural comfort zone for Diana You will not hear another singer with Diana's low notes AND incredible vocal agility! This was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. She is a natural *dramatic contralto* (VERY deep!) which is rare in females but exceptionally rare in someone so young! Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Primorsky Territory, northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It made it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia. Welcome to the world of this insanely talented young Russian lady, Diana Ankudinova. She's next level. Never known anyone like her in my 50+ years on this earth. And she was just 15 here (now 19). She has a lot of songs - originals and covers - so you are in for an amazing journey! She is the consummate artist but also a very beautiful person (with a tragic backstory). I would recommend Rechenka, Dernier Danse (both performed around the age of 14), and also The Crow and Can't Help falling in Love (both age 18) but really there are man more that could be recommended. Don't worry about only just finding out about her. Thank you for letting more people know about her.

Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.
You make a phenomenal point. Honestly I didn't even think about her being Polyphonic but you're absolutely right. The voice is crazy and I absolutely love it!
