From what I remember from Igor's interview: Dimash phoned Igor at the beginning of the weekend saying that he wanted a new Ave Maria written for him. Igor had nothing planned for the weekend so he got straight on it. He sent a working draft to Dimash on the Sunday for any changes to be made (as Dimash usually makes massive changes to Igors compositions 😂) Dimash then shocked Igor by saying it was perfect and he needed no changes and contrary to most of Dimash's performances this is one song that he has never revised or improvised in any later performance. It stays exactly as it was written. The sounds you hear at the very beginning are replicated sounds from space as recorded by the Hubble telescope. The Mesa di Voce at the very end, there is footage of Dimash learning and practicing it with his Chinese vocal coach in one of the 12 parts of the Ultimate Dimash Guide.

No insult intended I wish you’d simply give a professional reaction and analysis of this beautiful piece of music instead of mentioning something personal about yourself. It seems like so many reactors to Dimash give the astonished, over-the-top theatrics…why? To get more views? Avoid a truly professional reaction when we already know Dimash’s voice is phenomenal?

Dimash is completely into the song (into the prayer), he IS archangel Gabriel foretelling Maria she will be the mother of the son of God ... the song begins with the softness and tenderness to calm her down, not to be afraid of his amazing presence, then he proceeds to announce God's will (The Annunciation), that she will conceive his son, and unleashes all the power of his voice, his arms move like and angel's wings, and he goes to an overwhelming finale with the sadness of her child's destiny...

First time i heard this i also thought it was the Ave Maria that Tommy did cover. But this was so different, but omg so beautiful. His voice are out of this world. Epic performance 😀😀

My 2 favoruite songs Icanaide and Love is like a dream.

I heard the story that Dimash had put in a request to Igor to produce a song in a Gregorian type of chant. Igor finally came up with Ave Maria and sent it to Dimash. Dimash called him back in about a half hour later approving the song and was very happy with it. Dimash and Igor are very simpatico!

I love your reactions to their voices, specially Jimin's (the more 'higher' and sometimes considered feminine voice), his voice is amazing, I love when voice coaches react to him for the first time hahah. I also recommend their cover of " I'll Be Missing you"!!! It's so good

He is 6'3" so not short just hard to tell when you have nothing to compare him to on stage.

When I first heard this, I was in shock. STILL AM! You are right, Dimash is a Master class in EVERY WAY! Dimash asked Igor Krutoy to write this for him. Dimash is Muslim, and Igor is Jewish,( I believe), and a Ukrainian/Russian, who came our of retirement, just for Dimash. He composed a Christian piece at Dimash’s request! Dimash is very thoughtful and respectful of others, and expresses it so admirably in this piece. NO WORDS NEEDED!

I haven't seen this yet but I just discovered this man and commented that he reminded me of Ian Gillen of Deep Purple and from Jesus Christ Superstar....and here it is! Okay. After seeing this performance...He definitely stuck to Ian's phrasing but a bit lower to accommodate for his head voice which is not as airy. Great adaptation! Ian is more organic versus this slightly operatic vibe. Both are beautiful and dramatic.

"It works - how?" Because both bands are genre mixers in their own right. Babymetal combining metal and J-pop and Bloodywood mixing metal with traditional Indian music. So all the people involved here bring the necessary skills to the table to pull this off. Babymetal did a similar unlikely collab before when teaming up with German metalcore outfit Electric Callboy for "Ratatata", and again the result is an absolute banger.

It was fun to watch you experiencing this wonderful performance. I loved the sigh and self cuddle at around 10:00 right after the song ended. I as a fan surely do encourage you to keep listening to babymetal. On the other hand, The First Take also deserves some of your attention. The artist come to their studio, usually with a somewhat stripped down arrangement of their song, can practice as long as they like and then have one take only, and that will be uploaded. This is at least what they tell us. But judging by the intensity of some performances, they might be right. The artists are mainly Japanese and Korean, but now and again established western musicians like Avril Lavigne or more recently Laufey appear. A good entry point might be ReoNa with her song Anima.

This version of Ave Maria was composed by Igor Krutoy. It is not the same version you were originally thinking of.

He does swim a lot and hold his breath under water. I ❤this rendition of this song. It was either written for Dimash by Igor or it was a collaboration. It is gorgeous. The back up choir is fantastic and is behind his voice perfectly. A real goosebump moment. Have you done Ikanaide yet? Also gorgeous. It is Japanese.

Dimash is Muslim, Igor Krutoy is Jewish, and Dears represent all religions. Dimash’s vocalise version unites us all as one, with no divisions. I flew from the US to Istanbul for his 30th birthday concert, mainly to hear him sing this song live with my own ears before I die. It is miraculous. He is an earth angel as far as I am concerned.
