In a later episode he did a past life regressions thing and saw her story and she tried to steal from PB and was blasted by the guardians, falling into an acid lake. She crawled out of the lake but mutated from it, didn’t make it far and died around the tree that grew into the treehouse
Turns out it was a prank! But the train controls are busted and they fall off a cliff with a big jello person saving the fall but that wasn't planned that's the scary part to me, like they could've literally died horribly if the candy people weren't there and Jake played it off like its normal ☠

The first time I ever saw that episode, I watched it on a free tv website (I used a lot of sketchy cartoon watching websites as a kid). The episode had no sound and I was confused at first, but when the world started glitching, I thought maybe it was just an experimental episode and the lack of sound was to make it creepier and we as viewers were supposed to infer what was going on. Years later, I watched it on a proper streaming service and to my shock, there was sound and apparently the website had glitched, just like the Land Of Oo.
Finns backpack is green he should see it the same as the emerald. Also that’s not how colors work. If he learns an object is X color in his vision, he doesn’t have normal vision to see a mismatch of the object and the color. Anyway these stories maybe have scary plot ideas but the real scary episodes are the one where they fight the fly and there’s the gun that blasts people from existence they’re dodging. At the end they work it out and make friends with the fly but right as they’re going back to normal size, jake just goes out of his way to send the fly to an infinite damned hell for eternity on his way out rather than just peacefully leaving. There’s also the episode where tree trunks literally dies casually in an explosion
I'm glad you mentioned mortal recoil i ever this episode being so scary for me as a kid and i think this was going to be the potential of adventure time episodes being more darker and scary (yup i was right 👍) but that's what i i used to love the series Dear episode yes that episode i remember freaking me out as well And the mystery party where everyone dies ans goes missing that glowing green ghost creep the f of me and i was so confused even finn was lol

Nah that episode was so dumb idk how people even found those fingers scary I always thought they look weird it basically a bunch of edp jokes which is the reason why I always hated adventure time i would argue that one episode in gravity falls was way scarier with the abandoned store that was terrifying seeing Mabel get possessed and that creepy cereal box scene the only adventure time episodes I still didn't think was scary but was actually cool was the lich episodes honestly the lich reminded me of the nun from the conjuring 2

0:25 This is one of those episodes where a character acts uncharacteristically maliciously and/or stupidly for no reason. Now, I know that Jake isn’t a stranger to this, given the episode with the wishes and the ret○○○○○ hotdogs, but it’s still off-putting. Also, it’s interesting how many of these are Jake’s fault or have Jake as a main obstacle to resolving the problem.
