Sick man! That was one of my favorites to jam with back in the day. I always loved playing that open string lead that Janne plays with Alexi but I never learned the actual guitar solo. Back when I was learning all the songs on that record that specific solo wasn't high on my priority list for whatever reason plus just being honest its pretty scary lol For some reason over the last few months I've been really digging on that solo. It keeps randomly popping up in my head and running on a loop. Cool to see someone else digging it and shredding it up! Great job

How do you make backing tracks?
Well in this video i didnt make any backing track, i just played over the original track.
In any other instance where I use backing tracks, i program drums (i use ugritone drum vst, especially the dieswitch drums) and then record the remaining instruments using Reaper as a DAW.

man, I think you could do some tutorial vides, like "how to play Not My funeral",or "how to play living dead beat". or some content about some technical details.
I thought about that two days ago in fact, since I was looking for some tutorials to check if I play things right for a song (even though I recorded already) and was shocked, that there are no in depth tutorials.
Like the quirks in between the lines like proper phrasing, right harmonics or sometimes even the right finger pattern.
So Im going to do that in depth.
But the videos going to be long as hell. More like a full lesson in person. I guess up to half an hour or even more.
But I think it would help some people using right techniques and proper phrasing.
And all I want is to encourage people to play more music, practise and have fun.

Actually you don't have to put everything into one long video, a video longer than 20mins usually scare audience I think. Instead you can separate one tutorial into several parts, like "intro part", "main riff part", "solo part"... just control everything within 20mins, because even you make a complete tutorial, viewers will still finish it by couple of times.
shorter videos will also benefit your update frequency. so we don't have to wait years for a complete tutorial. we can learn the intro part while you are recoding the riff part. Also, more videos would also benefit your channel I think. win-win!

@@alexnanis1822 well yes I thing about it everytime to do something from hexed/IWC and the new EP.
What holds me back is the tuning. Since then they play a half step down so idk drop b and I don't like going deeper than drop C cuz (for me) everything gets muddy und indistinguishable.
But i guess I'm going to do that in the future cuz there are some killer songs and I'd like to play them.

It's not about the views or the subs man, it's about having fun, making this shitty life a little bit better for everyone, for me, for you, for the rest of the viewers. Doesn't matter of there are 10 or 10.000 people.
If there's just one person that i can motivate to play, practice of pick up an instrument, that's all worth the effort.
Believe me, it's not about being famous, rich and wealthy.
When we die we fade from the plot, famous or not. And the time we have should be used to make people's shitty life's a little bit better. 💜

Hue hue. That's right.
But. I already recorded most of them. So there will be some new ones in there then.
But these solos takes like a lot of time to practice and to figure out, that I can't just record everything in one go.
I'm now like at 7/10 recorded. Only the really hard ones are left. I'm able to play them already but it's not consistent and clean enough. Might take another couple days/weeks to nail them.

That's a good question.
Depends actually. Muscle memory plays a big role. If parts are similar to my muscle memory it takes less time. The solo on fact was easy for me. the sweeps are pure muscle memory and the rest wasn't that hard for me. Took me about 4 hours to learn and play it in full speed.
The interlude was much harder for me. It is not in a comfort zone for me and muscle memory has to build up to play it. This took me about 2 weeks of practice. Approximately 2 hours a day just for that, some days more, some days less.
But it depends on how much hours I'm able to play it a day. This can speed up the process drastically. But on some days nothing will work out and I get a bad day, happens too.
Hard shit takes a lot of time.
thanks for your answer , sweeps are not a problem for me too because im a laiho fan so i spent time on that many Times but i think its the sweep and taping combined at this speed but im close to get it well 🤘 , keep Up playing youre awseome !

@@Dignityofficial_ hey body #a Little question again 😅 the first part Of the solo between the 12 and 15 frets is it groups Of 7 notes ? because on the tabs i looked it was groups Of 6 but it seems wrong when i slow down the original song it seems to be groups Of 7 ,and go check my solo cover Of next in Line and Tell me what You think for 2.5 years playing 😁

That's the album version of Living Dead Beat. It's the full record. Maybe sounds like it, since my track is much louder than the song.
