I even wired active and passive separately together in this guitar with active bridge and 2 passive neck, later then with boost instead of active pickup. By now it only has a switch, a volume knob and only one pickup is connected. This guitar was and will always be my test subject for mods.

@ thats so cool!! a collegue of mine built a triple EMG black beauty himself many years ago, and told me he even asked EMG if they had any schematics for it. at the time it was basically unheard of and didn’t exist, so he figured it all out by himself, and later mailed pictures, and a demo back to EMG when he had completed the project, and the guy he was talking to asked for a wiring diagram, he drew it out exactly like the ones EMG would make themselves when selling complete EMG sets. and last time i checked EMG’s website… they had a complete wiring kit for a triple configuration. so i acutally believe they took what my collegue draw, and put it out on the market😂 SO cool to see others have done the same! i have never seen another example of it, and let alone for it to also be a black beauty. @@andreknippschild1105 But that's exactly the point, the more guitars I played, then more I looked at, the more QC issues I was noticing on Jackson guitars. And tbh I thought I just have a hand to pick up QC issue guitars from Jackson. But the more I talk to other people and their experience, then more I realize how bad the situation really is.

@scotticidal nope I checked that and muted them, it wasn't that! My guess is a faulty wiring somehwere or a malfunction of the pickup. But it could also be that the pickup grabbed some sort of frequency from somewhere when you shake it. So maybe something internally was loose.

They have a warranty right?

It’s a bad solder or ground. It’s picking up the vibrations of the Floyd springs. Everytime he slides his hand up the guitar it causing the springs to move and bounce in that direction

@@jasondoyle-l3z it's not the springs, it was something with the wiring or the pickup itself. And ofc I tried multiple amps. Later on I figured you can just shake the guitar and make it happen. So yeah. But i have no clue what could cause that.

@Dignityofficial_ can’t deny the coolness but, at the end of the day though how different is the Alexi signature compared to a single humbucker RR24? You feel me?

@@treyhard1 no its not. Neck angle to body is quite nice though, still for me it's not enough though. You can't fully pull up the floyd, you're kinda limited. For most people probably enough, for me I would like to route it out and make it partially recessed.

@treyhard1 good choice! Objectively I think you get a bit more for your money there. But that's personal opinion. Still a nice axe though

@@kaseysrockchannel well I wouldn't say that in particular. Always remember that it doesn't matter what you buy, there's always profit to be made. It would be nice if the QC of all the manufacturers would be satisfying. But then again, Gibson QC is so bad by now and nobody really gives a damn about it. So why wouldn't other try to do it like that. That's why I'm always a fan of testing a particular guitar rather than buying it blind online. BC Rich QC in like 20/21 was so bad that I just didn't want to buy a guitar that I would've likes to have, just because the whole palette was waaaay too bad. It's sad but everything gets more expensive while quality seems to drop. Hopefully something will change but that's a reason why I started to look out for more precious pieces of the past rather than new stuff.

@ that’s a solid point. For me I’ve found quality in cheaper instruments and being able to mod the parts myself than paying top dollar for a Gibson just to sound decent. I feel like we are getting ripped off by these corporations for the sense of financial classism.

@@manfleshowy lmao I'm dead. That was on a motorcycle festival this year. We were main act inside in the hall and not outside on the other stages. But basically yes, younger people are not that common anymore on like bike festivals and motorcycle club parties. Mostly middle age to older people attend to those. Sure, here and there there are still people below 30 but it gets less and less since young people don't do stuff like that anymore, the interests have shifted. I see that a lot by now. It's very different to big stages and metal festivals, but that's a whole other story. In general regional and national "smaller acts" are dying. A lot of pubs, event locations and yearly music acts have died out. It's very sad, but it is what it is.

@Dignityofficial_ that's true. The same is happening in my country. Too many big festivals, so no one is coming to smaller gigs anymore. Great solo by the way 😉

Thank you so much 💜 you should watch me play sitting and sober! Lmao. Jokes aside, live environments are different. Always. You get one shot, guitar is always low, I play 3.5hour sets with 30-40 songs a night, I get exhausted and usually I'm kinda drunk. I think I never played a show where 100% is working out. Why? Because we're flawed in general. The stuff you see that is recorded for videos is usually recorded in parts or after take 68...no matter who you pick. There's no shame in it, that's how humans work. We are sloppy to begin with. There's always room for more. Show me full impeccable live shows from bands other than btbam. And even if, does that matter? I played so many shows, watched so many bands...be encouraging to people. People know their own flaws and mistakes best. Try to make people's live better, not miserable. But thank you for your engagement 💜
