9:29 just a small correction, the KPVT on the BRDM is a 14.5x114mm round. Same gun is used on the BTR80s. A 12.7 will still do good damage to a scimitar but the reason scout cars can shred them is because of that 14.5
@@Timtims91-g5d Hmm, it seems like you're asking about the comparison between two different ammunition calibers. Both the 14.5x114mm and 12.7x99 are powerful rounds used in different applications. definitely the right calls on the main camping. If you're shooting out of your protected area you can't be upset when that protected area gets pushed. As you said at that point you're inviting that conflict into that area.
I love these videos, but can we spend more time seeing what's happening on the actual objective? We missed the entire fight over the airfield while we watched the vehicles drive around miles away, which seems to be a common theme.
I agree! I love watching the vehicle fights for sure, but I feel like I'm missing the context of the game a lot of the time when that's the focus. The strategy, tactics, positioning of the individual squads and how they take or defend an objective is much more interesting to me. Maybe some videos are just focused on tactics, and others are more like these with an emphasis on vehicle battles?
I wouldn't mind focusing on vehicles if they actually helped the team in some way. It feels like 75% of these go something like this: tank drives off into the middle of nowhere, takes a bunch of damage fighting enemy armor doing the same thing, and then dies horribly at the hands of wandering AT infantry. A good blooper reel is fun every once in a while, but I wanna see the actual game!
in my time playing i’ve noticed a lot of armor follows this theme in squad and they often get made fun of for playing world of tanks lol. if there was an eye in the sky on the server i play on you’d see plenty of armor supporting/escorting infantry to point. it’s beautifully cinematic and so difficult to counter.
Watched 2 of these and only thing they are lacking is a teleport function for you to see things on the map and being able to change your x,y cord while keeping your same z cord so you can hot swap into a different battle.
Nice to see people using the Challenger 2 for what its good for. It's basically a heavily armored pillbox with a giant gun stuck to it. Compared to the Abrams, its far more apt at long range engagements, because one, its significantly slower than an Abrams, two it has significantly more Armor than an Abrams and three, its main armament and sighs are far more suited for long range engagements! You usually see people in Squad zerg charging with them, which, I mean.. sure it has lots of armor, but.. its still a giant target, so sit up behind hills and use its superb long range sights to just demolish hard an armored targets.

Moi's job is to follow everything on the map, not just the main objective. I would be crushed if I didn't get to witness that tank fight. Just let the guy do his commentary and casting, he's incredible at it.
This layer is extremely difficult to get past the first point. It’s way to open and easy for the full militia team to be on point before the British get there
1:13:30 That was defiantly the right call "Ref swallowed the Whistle" they asked to be killed and I think during the end of the game being kicked isn't right at all. The Anti-Air Gun vehicle could have avoiding shooting down the helicopter. Like always Fantastic video and keep up the good work!
I would say with the main camping, the AA drove all the way across the map to take down heli's leaving main. The challenger tank was close to their main but he was supporting the objective. Which I think is one of the rules right? You can get close to main long as your supporting an objective? Which the challenger was doing, the AA truck was not.
The AA truck was 1.2km from their main pretty sure server rule is even mentions 300m meaning they were 4x that distance.. That's not main camping. The entire north road from their main was clear to use until the AA was taken out. AAs job is to support by denying air resupply.
To play devil's advocate on the main camping kick. If that squad knew there was an admin in the server. I find it hard to believe they would intentionally "main camp". Between, all of the different servers with drastically different rules. I could see a squad going for a flank 900m outside of the enemy's main. Especially, on the first point. They should not have to let a target 900m outside of the enemy main just fly or drive away. Furthermore, after taking that target, they proceeded along with their flank and started heading back towards the southern side of the objective. Isn't appropriately disrupting supply lines and flanking a good tactic? I am curious to hear more opinions. I am eager to learn. Please engage in this conversation. P.S. Edit: I saw @MoiDawg respond to other comments about people disagreeing with the main camp. @MoiDawg commented on the Potato Fields server rules for main camping. I would like to challenge that rule. I think camping first must be defined. I pulled a definition off Google. Camping: What Does Camper Mean? A camper is a video gamer who finds a strategic spot within a level and waits there for players, game-controlled enemies or choice items to appear. This strategy is known as camping. I would argue that they could not have violated the main camping rule because they were actively flanking the objective. They only stopped when they heard a vehicle and quickly engaged until the threat was down. They then proceeded to continue with their flank. If they were camping they would have been sitting and waiting. Waiting is the key word in the definition I found on Google. I did not see a vehicle that was waiting for vehicles to appear out of the enemies main. Again, I simply wish to spark a debate. Not an argument. @MoiDawg if you respond to this thread please engage me more than simply posting the Potato Fields server rules for main camping. I wish to understand how you think. I wish to understand you.
Problem with ur argument is they weren't flanking they were heading farther south and just west of main, the fighting was far north and to the east so the only reason to be that far south is to camp main...

Btw would so love if Squad allowed for some building destruction. Watching all these earthshattering atry strikes to not even scratch shoddy middle east huts, is just sad.
I think the main camping call was fair, since I believe the all the militia vics in question had left the road leading up to the bridge intersection and actually entered the bridge intersection, which is within fighting range of upper pet. Moreover, like you noted we saw militia vehicles lingering in that area and using it to observe and fire on the brits, so at the very least that kill was definitely valid. Had the challenger been sitting up on top of the bridge for a duration firing down the road towards mil main, then that would've been much more debatable.
12:23 that vehicle wasn’t too close for main camping. That helicopter could have taken many other paths. If it was the only way out of main then that would be main camping but that was one road. Terrible call and with no warning is terrible.
Seriously. They were 1.2km away from main. Sure one heli is lost but now they know AA is there and the north east road is clear until they can take out the enemy.
They should implement some type of spectating system, that way you can just watch all the carnage go down. I know the admins can do it but it would be nice for any player to sit back and watch how these things can unfold at any moment, without being able to help any teams of course.
The spectator cam needs at least two things, Faster general movement with a hotkey, and dobble click somewhere on the map to teleport camera. Please offworld!

Absolutely incorrect..the AA had direct LOS of their main and didn't need to be that close to kill a helicopter..a AA can kill from a much greater distance but if u take out helicopters then they have to come back by truck from main which the AA can easily kill as well...so the AA was intentionally main camping
@@justinmcelhaney5591 They didn't have direct los on their main. They had multiple tree lines, terrain, and the haze at 1200 meters obstructing. There's plenty of birth for the heli and vics to head north until the AA was cleared out. Was a bad call.
@@alexlyster3459 challenger got that far because it was not kicked out. AA was doing the exact same thing flanking but didnt reach his target because of the Ban Hammer. Your argument validate mine. We will never know what was its target.
Don't agree with the first main camping call on the ZSu, do agree with the second on the Chally. ZSu was actively flanking and just happened to have the heli pass overhead, took the opportunity, then continued the flank. Was it a good flank? No, based on the active objective it was way too long, but they were moving to flank nonetheless.
You mentioned the chally being good at range the challenger 1 actually held the world record for longest tank kill at 4700m ~3 miles during the gulf war until apparently a Ukrainian tank beat that at 6 miles last year
I think the ZSU MTLB early on isn't main camping. Heli can't just get a free go to fly directly to/from the action without threat of engagement. That chopper could have gone multiple routes to avoid the AA gun.
Vehicles or infantry cannot be killed inside a main - therefore no such thing as maincamping is even possible in Squad. To solve this issue easily and for good by the devs would be the inability for the atackers to shot within a circle double the size of the current main base protection.
If you could transition between the high level view and the actual man on the ground view when that FOB was being pounded by Challenger that would have been awesome
The british weren't using the uparmoured warrior. That challenger 2 gunner was awful, the challenger 2 driver saved them multiple times when he realised the gunner couldn't hit basic shots and positioned the vehicle well. MTLB AA main camping call could have gone either way, he was mostly on the move flanking but the heli kill was questionable. The challenger 2 wasn't main camping, the vehicle it destroyed was firing over the cap hitting infantry, if the challenger 2 had gone over the bridge and shot logis coming out of main, that is main camping. The GB INF SLs won that game without a doubt, every cap was attacked from multiple sides with multiple habs and rallies
How was that main camping? They were ways out, probably over a kilometre away from main. I'm talking about the dudes in the aa bmp at around 10 minutes in
The Potato Fields main camping rules: No Main camping. This includes any assets camping while having a sight line directly to main and / or one of the roads leading out of main, unless these assets are contesting an active objective.
29:00 onward. That gunner needs to get out of that tank, he's just totally incomplete, he legitimately could have lost them that tank to a worse vehicle that they got free shots on first because he literally couldn't hit it when it was like 10 meters away.

14:40 drones and all, what a cool game
Honestly. Banning those two Guys for Main Camping is really a long Shot. They were Way over 1KM away from UK Main. Really undeserved imo
who needs movies when u got squad.
That IED drone @ ~15mins, LOL
I wish squads tank mechanics werent just a fancy HP bar. No way a t62 would take that many shots from a challenger
That Challenger vs T-62 slap fight was hilarious
Their aim got alot better after killing the first T-62. I wonder if they swapped gunner.

Have you considered getting a tool to draw on the screen?
It would be more visible than gesturing with your mouse pointer.
this is the future of esports
squad is so realistic you can roll right through the trees and they wont fall down
the giggles are just such a great addition
How was that main camping? They were ways out, probably over a kilometre away from main. I'm talking about the dudes in the aa bmp at around 10 minutes in
The Potato Fields main camping rules:
No Main camping. This includes any assets camping while having a sight line directly to main and / or one of the roads leading out of main, unless these assets are contesting an active objective.
i come for the for the great commentary but stay for the giggles!
continued success Moi
Perfect timing. I just finished another vid and you post this. Amazing
Yay another British eye in the sky!
29:00 onward.
That gunner needs to get out of that tank, he's just totally incomplete, he legitimately could have lost them that tank to a worse vehicle that they got free shots on first because he literally couldn't hit it when it was like 10 meters away.
Yeah it wasn't great, but their aim the rest of the game was spot on
That tank fight was cursed...
Artillery conquers and infantry occupies.

Is that what this game calls a main camp? They shot and moved...?
I wish there would be more variation in the flag positions in this game
I'm not sure I've ever won on this layer. It's very hard.
Hell of a play from Challenger, Playing to its stregnths , Meh firepower but cracking frontal/Turret armour, Gracking team, Had a plan and executed
Fun fact: during Operation Iraqi Freedom, a British challenger tank was hit with 14 RPG’s and survived!!!
