      @@mr.eastcoast8369 try and think about the big picture for once. Of course he’s physically still alive (everyone knows that obviously). He has something called dementia though (ever hear of it?). Its known to literally kill every part of that person’s personality and memories, so he will never be the same Bruce that you see in this interview. Does that make sense to you? Or are you still angry and confused?

    The whole series of Bobbie Wygant sit downs with Bruce throughout the years is youtube content solid gold. They have a really wonderful and playful rapport that grows and deepens over the course of his career, with many running in jokes and at times going to surreal places. It's clear Bobbie is one of Bruce's favorite critics/personalities. Someone (Bobbie?) should put them all in chronological order in one long compilation video.

    Why can't people react at the movies like that nowadays?

    • @WhateverHappenedToFun
      @WhateverHappenedToFun 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can write an essay about it but let's say one on the reason.
      Nowdays more than before studios wan't take risks anymore, they greenlight only "safe" blockbusters so most of the movies are just pre-chewed stuff.
      It's living without surprises... how can you react in the same way of Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Back To The Future, Alien, Jurassic Park, Jaws with last 30 years of movies? There's no more the awe that you got back then.
      And I ain't nostalgic, I just became misoneistic what the change was for worse.
      Case and point when I really like a movie that isn't from 40/50 years ago I'm reactin' like I found the holy grail. I'm pretty tired of watchin' only old movies, I'd like to go to a theater and watch somethin' new that got the same special values that some of the old movies had.
      Do I think that all the movies suck nowdays? Absolutely not.
      Do I think that all the movies from 40/50 years ago was great? Absolutely not.
      But 40/50 years there was a choice, not there isn't.
