Man l know your satisfaction when it started. There is nothing more joyful.
I just bought this bike on Craigslist, 1992 xv1100 and yours is one of the few videos I've seen for this specific model. I was even already subbed to you!!
Sweet. I had a 1990 in 1990 and it was the best bike I have ever owned, wish I still had it.
I’m working on an xv750 right now that was under the same circumstances yours was. The things you’ve had to deal with are the same as the ones I have been and it’s been so helpful to see someone smarter go through it.
Haha! Glad I could help. Good luck on your build and thanks for watching 👊🏽
Finally! It started!! Nice job cleaning the carbs! A lot of work still ahead !
Hey man, I’m Luca from Naples, Italy.
First of all, sorry for my english 😔
I really enjoy your videos, I first start follow you because I’ve got an FZ6 S2 naked. But I really love your videos, your passion for bikes and your jobs!
Can’t wait to see how this Virago will became, until that “ciao” from Naples!!
Glad to have you, my friend!
This video should be number#1
This has been a great project to watch. I’m stocked you got her started. I am getting my grandfathers 89 Virago 750. Your videos are getting me amped up for it lol. I think I’ll have to replace the clutch he said cause it got knocked over. Keep up the great work man.
I wonder how many broken Virago carburetors the world is gonna see with that hammer trick. Life hack!!!
Jeremy Clarkson factor 8
Sounding good, will be awesome to see it on the road again
Glad you finally got it started and even idling, i recently got another one of these ive been messing with. Great bikes and tons of fun riding. The first one i bought is a bobber so itll be cool to see when this is done in someone elses perspective
I recently brought a non-starting 1982 Virago 750 back to life and was dealing with the bike "hunting idle" as well. I think it was a vacuum leak for me. Good luck!
Good to know! Thanks for the comment! ☕
SWEEEEEET....I HAVE AN 84 XV1000 SE....MINT CONDITION....THINKIN ABOUT THE BOBBER BUILD !!!!!
Awesome job brotha! Love seeing stuff like this, it keeps me optimistic about my bike build! Looking forward to the rest of the build!
Good luck on yours and thanks for watching 👊🏼
Also! I forgot to mention, like the harbor freight portable garage set up you have! That looks exactly like mine in the backyard!😂
@@waynemartinez8620 the best of the best
@@waynemartinez8620 did ya get yours running ..??
@@jerrybigrig9475 no, I've been distracted by life. 🤣Haven't had a lot of opportunities to work on it.
I’m not gonna lie you got me with the cut off haha. Glad you got it running. shout out from Fort Worth, Tx. Keep up the good work.
Heck yeah man, thanks for watching! ☕
It's been a long time, but it finally started, it sounds pretty good too.
SHE'S ALIVE 🙌🙌🙌
YEAH MAN!!!!!!! WOOP WOOPPP
There's a fellow I know who makes a single carb conversion manifold for these bikes. I have one for my 82 750 and oh BOY is it so much easier than trying to drag the stock carbs out from between those jugs. Plus I can run one carb for ease of maintenance without all the syncing bullshit.
That's tempting for sure
@Gary Tesla Unfortunately shortly after my original comment he decided to take a hiatus from making them, but if you join Virago Nation on facebook and its accompanying sales page, you might be able to grab one eventually. It'll be branded as either Virago Performance or just Adam Smith.
6:12 savage lol
The engine sounds good!, definately get the carbs rejetted. But man!, im so happy for u.
I know exactly how it feels to have it running after a few failed attempts, well mine was more like few days, but yours were weeks!..
Yeah, I'm hoping the carbs are going to be okay, but it was pretty bad in there and some jet heads were stripped. But all the passageways were good so I think the poor running is not a problem inside the carbs.
LOL U GOT ME WID THE END Of the video prank
Great work
curious as to how you fixed the float pin issue?
got me with the hammer, thanks homie
Excelente!!!
lol @ your dog not appreciating getting a face full of exhaust fumes
I liked your hammer-joke! 🤣
The bike I have doesn't have the oem carbs. Unless it is a single carb setup. Says Hitachi on the carb and there's only one
Virago pop on deceleration. A common issue. Mine would foul the plug in the front cyl. ...went thru carbs. Ended up low compression front cyl. It's a common virago issue. Your starter problem? Old issue there's an updated shim kit
Hey brother what kind of air breather do you have and were can I get one for my bike xv1100 1993
I think that would be a great bike to Cafe out.
The monoshock model of this bike was the real cafe build. These ones are incredibly hard to stance, so bobber it is! ☕
So this is super late but ice been working on a 1985 xv1000 virago and it also has the Hitachi carbs. On the model i have (not sure if itll be the same for the 1100) a majority of the jets are from factory unable to be removed.
Ah. Makes sense I guess
Looks like only one cylindre is making fire
What is the brand of portable charger?
Hello my name is Johnny and I wanted to know if you could help me I'm working on a 1996 Yamaha virago and I am getting to spark plugs and ignition coil are good and stator is all good how often does the cdi become the problem?
Next time try to turn the music down for when you have the voice over, pretty annoying dawg when im trying to listen to ya. Super loud!!! Anyway good luck with the bike bro!
I just started watching your videos because I currently have a 89 xv1100 my screws are stripped to get my starter off but watching the video it might just be my solenoid or does the starter have to come off to replace the solenoid?
From what I remember, solenoid was separate from the starter. But you can see it in my videos, so check that for sure. :)
7:21...Dog is SOoooo bored it's burying it's face. Straight puppy mode. 7:29...Dog got the ISH scared out of it!!! ROFL!!! Good Dog, Man.
Good day sir, could u tell me how much turns u did to the both air\fuel mixture screws for each carburetor? Thx.🙂
Usually you full seat the air fuel mixture needle and go two turns out just make sure you air fuel mixture screw has a spring a washer and the gasket on it otherwise it can throw the whole bike off I had that problem
@@seanstambaugh3256 thank u so much good sir🙂👍💯
@@anthonyarmstrong9508 your welcome
Viragos are known for that grinding. Not enough steady voltage while cranking especially while cold. Add a voltage stabilizer 99% of the time it will cure that. Or you can upgrade coils.
Currently building an 86 1100 bobber and have done HOURS of virago research.
Hola amigo buena máquina
Ánimo espero que la repare y la dejé muy bonita
Saludos desde Colombia
Abrazos
Can you help me find some parts?
Where did you find that bike, since I would like to find any kind of bike anywhere, btt haven't had that luck in my whole life ?? :(
Iol I just followed u on Instagram and be safe glad it starts
The starter clutch screw is also a T30 torx not philips
Yeah, I kinda figured...but I got one that's at least the right shape 🤦🏽♀️ haha
Looool u got me😂😂😂😂
What year ? I have xv1100 86
1990
what's with that anoying lens shutter sound the hole videooo >.< .. still .. awesome videos..
What sound? Just watched it and there wasn't a sound for me. Timestamp?
You really shouldn't have separated them. Have fun synchronizing them lol
you are turning a perfectly good bike into a bobber? holy f**k!
A perfectly good bike? 😆
Can't get the carbs off? Mallet can
Age old trick that few remember
Got me with the fake video ending, and with the skip ad
