Oooh nice to see The Crimes of Rooker Flynn here!! I alpha read the entire trilogy last year and just reread the finished product and shared my review, it's soooo good! Start with Legend of Black Jack though, that will only make the emotional beats hit harder ;) Also, P.L. is just the absolute best! I can't wait to get into his series. Happy reading, Brian 🤩
You are quite welcome. Thank you for being amazing, my friend! You can’t go wrong with GGK. Also, Scattershot sounds really interesting. Excited to hear your thoughts on them. 🙏🙌
I'm glad you like the gift. My book Godeena is a Sci-Fi military-action-thriller. There are very good books in this video, some of which I intend to read. 😀
I love that other people enjoy book haul videos! They're not my favorite thing on BookTube, but I understand the reasons many have for making them and watching them. Most of all, I'm here to support BellTube with a full view, a like, and a comment! By the way, is Andy Weir on the same bowling team as you and GRRM?
It is always something special when Dr. Fantasy makes a housecall in the comments! Thank you! (we tried Andy.. twice.. GRRM said he "didn't have the right stuff" so we sort of moved on when we needed fill-ins)
Great haul Brian! Thank you so much for sharing the books I sent you, and for the kind words! Right back at you! You are an amazing gent! It is a pleasure to send you the books to-date in my series! You raised a great point...well overdue we meet at least virtually! We will have to rectify that!!! 😊
Brian, thanks very much for your kind words about "Dream Trail". I appreciate the shout-out! I was a child/teen in the 1970s and always liked the ELO sound and licensed some of the lyrics to Jeff Lynne's song "Strange Magic", which I thought worked perfectly for the novel's ending. And you were SOOO close with my last name (press-TOP-nick), so you still get 4.5 points (ha ha)! Always enjoy listening to your final thoughts and fortune. Take care!
Return of the Griffin has a shark in the background, so was the B-roll really unrelated? 😂 Let's go with that. A Song for Arbonne, awesome! That, Tigana and Al-Rassan seem to be the three most widely loved GGKs, so I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful time with it. Your One for the Road today is very relevant, SMART goals are the way to go. It does wonders for your mental health when you use that framework and can see yourself make strides.
Light month for June as I'm still working through Howling Dark. Finished Murder at Spindle Manor by Morgan Stang, Silence is Silver (a prequel novella to Harbinger of Justice) by Andrew Watson, and the Heroes by Joe Abercrombie. If you haven't read Harbinger of Justice yet I highly recommend!
It's on my TBR! As is, Murder at Spindle Manor. The Heroes is one of my faves as is Howling Dark. As a matter of fact, I think Howling Dark took me way longer to read than I anticipated.
@@BrianBell7 Yes. The setting is more like another character in this book rather than a place. I’ve never been to Minnesota, but this book had me looking at Google maps so I could relate to the places this author clearly loves.
I’n afraid i have had to officially halt my book buying habits as i prepare for a new job teaching english in Spain. However earlier this month I purchased a biography of Shinzo Abe and the last three Legend of the Galactic Heroes books. I am in the process of purchasing an e-reader though to take with me.
Im just a lonely commenter but...but, Brett Allen sent me a copy of Sly Fox Hollow. I also picked up Dresden Files White Night, To Ride Hells Chasm, Blackwater, Speaks the Nightbird, Middle of the Night by Riley Sager and The Crimes of Rooker Flynn.
Very cool! And you are not lonely here in the BellTube Community. We've got your back! You've got some bangers on that list. Love White Knight and To Ride Hells Chasm!
I'll wait to hear your opinion on those P.L. Stuart books. As a rule of thumb, I avoid reading works by authors who use pronouns in their bios, and I'll exercise extra caution when it comes to this author, likely due to his publishing being a consequence of "diversity" quotas.
It's going to be some time before I get to them. I'm not sure I follow your thought on any quotas "diversity" or otherwise as his books are self-published. Thanks for the comment.
Are you sure he's self published? Maybe he owns FriesenPress and I wasn't aware. Anyhow, I really hope his books are good, I'll wait to hear your toughts about them.
@@danbe6280 FriesenPress is a Canadian company that works with authors to help self-publish their books. Same as all sorts of companies in the US, including Amazon.
I didn't know that, and honestly, it's a plus in my book. He paid for his publishing, and I respect that. As I said before, I hope his books are good. I'll wait for your opinion about them.
I totally forgot to ask you all what you picked up in June! It's been a month... Leave a comment and let me know!
Awesome haul! Those Hybrid Helix hardcovers are gorgeous! Joe is such a great guy, so kind and down to earth. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thanks! Yes, he's a terrific person and a really good author!

Thanks, Esmay! It was a really nice month for a book haul! I'm excited for some lighter fare in July :)

You're the man, Slay! I wanted to get some books with that gift card that I know without a doubt I'll totally love.
great haul! Artemis looks amazing big fan of the purple
Same here! I’ve heard kind of mediocre reviews on the book itself, so I’ll probably wait on it a little bit.

Thanks again! So nice of you!
Great book haul! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for turning me on to JCM Berne. I just finished Wistful Ascending last week and really enjoyed it.
My pleasure. He totally gets the assignment when it comes to writing fun books that still have compelling plotlines.
amazing haul and amazing b roll my brother!
haha thank you! "bout ready to make lunch and check out some Talking Story!
Front of the Line! Woohoo!! -Palmer (doing backflips)
I'm excited for it!

A fantastic haul Brian!
For sure. One could say it was magical!

Great video Brian! I didn’t know all that about Bernie Taupin. I need to read Wistful Ascending still.
It's so good! Let me know if you read it, although I'm sure I'll see on your channel!

Thank you so much for the compliments! Yes... that's what I meant all along in the B-Roll! A tribute to Mr. Byrne! Yes! It makes sense now!!
Cool vid as always. After you showed 'Scattershot' I'm very interested in what other Nonfiction books you would recommend.
I'll take a look and see and let you know :)
«Arbonne»! ❤🤩
Very excited to get further into «Sun Eater» and PLS’s books!
Super excited for that one, Mac!
