And gave them some info about NW. This was her favorite song. And this song belongs to her. I like very much that Gabriel have continue Ann s work.... so her heritage is still here.
Although i didnt get to KNOW Ann i got to share some words with her in the comments. What a beautiful person. And again what warms my heart is that you could be five years old or 80+ old grandma or grandpa and equally enjoy and fangirl on nightwish and share the enthusiasm with millions of people and become Nightwish Army.. Floor gets to everybody because she is an empath, and lays her heart on the stage for every song, but then so does every single genius in that band. They are a cosmic collection of brilliance ... stars found clustered together to shine immensely brighter as one. Every one matters beyond their individuality as they contribute to the whole. Nobody does anything that isn't in complete harmony. Quietly waiting patiently for the next ride. You are such a lovely person.
Oh to add to that tip please do some research about the open letters etc before watching Poet as not everyone is aware of the emotions evolved in that song or why Tuomas hasn't performed it again.

Also it really helps to understand why Emppu goes over to check on him early in the song - that's what they're talking about - and also why Emppu & Marko go up on his stand and support him at the very end. Floor takes this song to an emotional level that only she can attain.
I'm sorry you're not feeling great Jynger, get better soon. Don't worry about trying to fight back the tears, it gets all of us in the same way. The studio version includes a spoken poem section at the end, written by Tuomas in an ode to the original. The words to it are what is seen scrolling across the big screen behind the band. The sad part for alot of us is that Nightwish is not popular in the U.S. The came over before the Summer Music Festivals started in Europe and only played 6 concerts and even those were not at very large venues. They are more popular in South America than the U.S. I know you probably have your list of Nightwish songs to do, but if you want to hear Floor singing a Nightwish song with only an Acoustic Guitar playing, listen to How's the Heart Live at Planet Rock. Floor will blow your mind! Definitely a tissue song. You will also get to see the other member you might not have seen yet, Troy. He doesn't play on every song, but he is an awesome musician himself.
@@Ieeho98 it’s bitter sweet because I got to see them with only 2000 people and stood very close, like 5 feet away from floor for 2 hours. It was crazy. I wouldn’t have gotten that intimate experience in a bigger venue with a huge crowd.

Sury, big festivals, 6Trucks ffull of Stage Entertainment, and they really get it done, not to be covered under their Show, but, Hell i wanna see them again inm Hirsch in Nürnberg, max 500 ppl, oppen Bar to the Turf. Sadly will never happen again, Tarja and Floor did crunch the Houseown Monitorsetup with their Voices:) Always were tuned down, but who cares, when you hear them belt 2 Meters away from you:D Really miss that.

VERY rare to find a band which ALL the songs are high quality! I've still yet to listen to a Nightwish song I didn't enjoy and I live in the metal genre. They just stand head and shoulders above the rest! LOVE THEM! Great reaction too!

I'm fast falling in love with your reactions - I think you are a deeply empathic person, which is common in the Nightwish Army (but not in the world in general, sadly) and that's why this music does this to us. Floor is a special kind of singer as she is a storyteller in every sense of the word. She understands what she is singing and so shares her emotions, what she feels about the song, with the audience. To her, that is the only way to sing a song, and for her being highly sensitive person, is in itself an emotional arsenal. That being said, add some love, and a lot of vocal technique..... she's got you! Tears, goosebumps, chills And everything else Floor can release within you to make your journey a magical and emotional ride. Please have a box of tissues handy when you do Poet and the Pendulum, and The Greatest Show On Earth. The Greatest Show On Earth may be about the evolution of man starting with the big bang and development of the universe and our solar system, but if you know Floor already..... she will yank some tears out of you. My love. Your reaction is the same as mine. Never in my 67 years on this planet have I emotionally dissolved with any band's music as I do with Nightwish. I discovered them in early 2020 during lockdown and most of their music drops me to my knees. Please react to Shoemaker live and grab your tissues. Poet will definitely blow you away and bring out the onion ninjas. Before Poet you should listen to Dead Boy's Poem, live from Buenos Aries. Tuomas's song about how he wants to be remembered if he were to die at the time it was written. Very personal like Poet and so emotional.

My favorite song from the Wacken show. (RIP Ann W). I love the grit, the darkness. Love the breakdown/second half, love that Floor and Marko both go all in with their vocals without any hesitation of overpowering the other, love the mysterious, introspective lyrics (sometimes the within is piano black), and definitely love when Floor summons 🔥! Lets try a different show now. Maybe Dead Boy’s Poem from Buenos Aires, for another emotional one, or the Wembley opener, Shudder Beautiful the Beautiful, to lift you up. I personally suggest you hold off for Poet and the Pendulum (maybe my favorite) for awhile. It gets more emotionally impactful the more you know the band and their history. The Greatest Show on Earth is another to be blown away by, that you should be ready for sooner. It is more musically and intellectually impactful, than emotional. Although, it does evoke emotional responses as well. Hope you start feeling better soon!

This song for me sums up Nightwish as a whole... they have a lot of songs where the theme is about losing or having lost a part of your life. Be that love or childhood or the entirety of humanity. I think these are universal themes that people find very relatable. Combine that with the bands ability to write catchy hooks and riffs and Floors ability to project the emotion of the song and there is the reason people are so passionate about the band. Women who normally would not necessarily think of "metal" as a genre they would like find their music appealing, look at the crowd it is such a mix that you don't see for other metal bands. Combine this with the obvious fun and enjoyment the band have playing it live and you get that perfect storm of why for most people the live performances are their preference.
Not just one. If You will be brave and patient enough to give us the best number of your reactions then just follow all wacken 2013 songs, then Tampere and Wmebley and Buenos Aires, then check current newest album with all lyrics videos, maybe even some Floors solos. VERY rare to find a band which ALL the songs are high quality! I've still yet to listen to a Nightwish song I didn't enjoy and I live in the metal genre. They just stand head and shoulders above the rest! LOVE THEM! Great reaction too!
It breaks my heart that with Marko finally having had enough of the music 'industry' we might never hear him and Floor duet'ing ever again :(. This was a special magic indeed.

I am really enjoying the ride you are on. Keep it going. All of the songs from this show are just brilliant. Imo, tackle Poet & Greatest Show on Earth a bit later on. I think you’ll have even more respect for those songs, when you hear them, if you’ll get well acquainted with Nightwish at Wacken 2013.

Floor is a special kind of singer as she is a storyteller in every sense of the word.
She understands what she is singing and so shares her emotions, what she feels about the song, with the audience.
To her, that is the only way to sing a song, and for her being highly sensitive person, is in itself an emotional arsenal.
That being said, add some love, and a lot of vocal technique..... she's got you!

My love. Your reaction is the same as mine. Never in my 67 years on this planet have I emotionally dissolved with any band's music as I do with Nightwish. I discovered them in early 2020 during lockdown and most of their music drops me to my knees. Please react to Shoemaker live and grab your tissues. My favorite song from the Wacken show. (RIP Ann W). I love the grit, the darkness. Love the breakdown/second half, love that Floor and Marko both go all in with their vocals without any hesitation of overpowering the other, love the mysterious, introspective lyrics (sometimes the within is piano black), and definitely love when Floor summons 🔥! Lets try a different show now. Maybe Dead Boy’s Poem from Buenos Aires, for another emotional one, or the Wembley opener, Shudder Beautiful the Beautiful, to lift you up. I personally suggest you hold off for Poet and the Pendulum (maybe my favorite) for awhile. It gets more emotionally impactful the more you know the band and their history. The Greatest Show on Earth is another to be blown away by, that you should be ready for sooner. It is more musically and intellectually impactful, than emotional. Although, it does evoke emotional responses as well. Hope you start feeling better soon!

It is A Tribute to the poem in 52 chapters, One for every week of the year, " Song of myself " by Walt Whitman(one of the co-founders of US poetry) USA 1892 version. The 7th verse of the song is ""Of mermaids, of Whitman's and the Ride""". The extended studio version of this song has, at the end, a poem as a tribute to Whitman made by Tuomas, the keyboard player and the mastermind of nightwish. Most of these lines you can also see fast flahing on the ledscreen of this video.

This is a wonderful song that, even without Marko, should be part of their set.
This song for me sums up Nightwish as a whole...
they have a lot of songs where the theme is about losing or having lost a part of your life. Be that love or childhood or the entirety of humanity. I think these are universal themes that people find very relatable. Combine that with the bands ability to write catchy hooks and riffs and Floors ability to project the emotion of the song and there is the reason people are so passionate about the band. Women who normally would not necessarily think of "metal" as a genre they would like find their music appealing, look at the crowd it is such a mix that you don't see for other metal bands. Combine this with the obvious fun and enjoyment the band have playing it live and you get that perfect storm of why for most people the live performances are their preference.
Not just one. If You will be brave and patient enough to give us the best number of your reactions then just follow all wacken 2013 songs, then Tampere and Wmebley and Buenos Aires, then check current newest album with all lyrics videos, maybe even some Floors solos. You will have a contnet for months and you will give us pure joy of wathcing You
