With the price of gas and inflation, 2.3 doesn't sound too bad. Twin turbo is nice but I spend 90% of my time in the city behind a slowpoke or in traffic. I'll probably pick the 2.3 after they fix the center stack. I'm waiting for sync 4 and larger screen like F150.

I use sync4a in edge. Works like charm, but waiting for next gen 😆

Car averages 26mpg on the highway with 4 people on board. Can’t complain, having all that torque on tap is handy.

That's all? I'm suprised. I guess the road isn't nice and firm so there could be some slip, and the roof cargo probably doesn't help.

For a 4700lb SUV with a roof tent on top of it, and only a 2.3L 4-cylinder, I was pretty impressed honestly

@@bwiren13 it is a pretty quick car. Considering my 2017 has less power with a 3.5 v6 it's impressive it got to that speed

I feel as though I'm watching a Chevy Chase Vacation film, where they go to the Bonneville Dust Flats. Is Grandma stored in that box on the roof?!? 😂

Any mechanical or electrical issues after this torture?

None whatsoever, and it towed a 4,000lb camper for 1500mi total, with a good third of that being off-road. It always had plenty of torque for the job, only once when crawling 2 straight miles up a steep gravel trail with a fully loaded car/trailer did we get an “engine temp too high” warning. We stopped for a few minutes and it cooled back down and made it up the hill just fine. So far it’s been rock solid, almost 12,000mi on the clock now. Deep-cleaned interior and pressure-washed exterior after the trip and it looked brand new again. This is one tough 4-cylinder.

@@bwiren13 I am really impressed with the new Explorer. I just have had my brand new Explorer. It's fully loaded XLT trim, and I am really happy with it. The only one issue I have faced with it is the wind noise inside the cabin, however it's not consistent.

Yes in the 6 TT Ford Explorer ST 💯which is the true “ST”
Unlike the “ST-Line” which is only the four Cil.
