I have not heard this song since 1969 maybe. I really thought it was a lost family song which I will never recover again. I remember a little different words:ver ken redden ver ken tzeln oy vey chimbiribimbom...which we the Israeli kids who spoke no yiddish never understood. What a treasure and beautiful arrangement and singing. Thanks for the memories!
A sheynem sheynem dank, Binyumen. Mir hobn shtendik genitst Thedore Bikel's versye, vos dergeyt bloiz biz zibn. A dank far di farshvundene zeks! A prekhtike arranzhirung.
Oh my. I have tears in my eyes. For years we looked for the Yiddish version. My adabru was the highlight of our sedorim when I was growing up. I wish my mom was still here to hear it. Thank you, Binyumen.
We did it with chirribimbom! Also we sang "mo-os" instead of "imes", zsen was "aseres hadribris", we sang nayn "monaten truckt man" , "die achte tug is mileh",
Beautiful!!! Thank you Binyomen

Tov Me'od !
My uncle used to do verse 6 in Yiddish every passover. I'm planning on surprising him in April.
Update: He didn't come to Passover this year 😢.
