- This is just a video of me rambling and giving some advice on how to start out on catch. There may be better advice out there but I just wanted to add in some stuff that I know at least.

How do you do the slow pause thing? It looks really cool

Another tip i'd give is to not spam retry insane amounts, but that's honestly the case for most rhythm games...

For sure, mental is one of the biggest things that make players end up giving up, stuffs just a game so might as well enjoy yourself at least sometimes and take a break from the grind
really appreciate for the guide but does resolution affect the game too in osucatch?
In my opinion its down to personal preference ive played on laptops that are the lowest resolution and played just fine

Why does HR seem almost impossible to play, am i missing higher refresh rate monitor (if that helps) or i just suck xd
Try to play more maps with higher cs and don't panic when you move, gotta be more relaxed because micro movements on high cs and high ar makes you shit miss more, play more high cs maps and more converts as well because of hard rock randomizer we have some strange patterns in songs. Getting better at placement (standing still more and doing less movements) can help as well because high cs is literally all about platter placement and precision.
tl;dr - play more high cs and high ar maps and relax yourself when you play, also less movement the better (and play converts)

Hmm you're right I will have to talk to some top players of each respective mod first (mainly usa players), when thats done a new video will be out

they're basically tech maps
Me getting mad because I onlt allow myself to set PF scores
In the end I started doing EZFL, and now my top 3 plays are from a single map…
