Getting osu!'s MOST MYSTERIOUS MEDAL

On July 27, 2022 a new batch of hush hush medals were released for medal hunters around the globe to solve, with one being so difficult to figure out that the first person to do it would earn a profile title. Here is the lore behind, and my journey trying to get Internment.

As far as I can tell, the thinking here is to first recognize the map from the image. Then, "stained in the hues of madness" refers to there being multiple values ("hues" is plural, and hints at there being more than one distinct relevant colour) corresponding to the colour of an insane ("madness") difficulty, and "they rage within a four-walled jail" is supposed to further hint at the visual of the difficulty selection indicator box (the "four-walled jail") surrounding the reddish insane dot on the website. This visual is further reinforced by introducing a very similar idea into the medal's iconography: adding the image of a bloodshot (and therefore red, so the eye is also a "red dot" - plus bloodshot eyes conceptually hint at insanity) eye into the square shape that originally gave away the specific map. Hindsight is 20/20 though, and I do not think there is any way I would have been able to do this given a month. I imagine the people that solve this kind of thing are also good at cryptic crosswords

im guessing the reason why it supposed to be D, A and B rank is because the D rank is red in colour, A is green and B is blue. Thats why your combo for the D, A and B ranks used to need to correspond to the RGB value before they made it easier
