- We've been working really hard since the new Ford Godzilla engine dropped to develop a way to swap it easily into vintage trucks/ vehicles. Our biggest struggle so far was sourcing parts for the front runner systems, as even Ford didn't know how to help us. Thankfully we figured it all out, and we'll have the front runner kits available to purchase with everything you'll need for your Godzilla swap. We're also working on Godzilla swap mounting brackets for you guys soon. We'll be using this dual alternator Godzilla in a swap we're doing here at the shop (spoiler: we're building another Fat Fender shop truck). Stay tuned. Why in the world hasn’t anyone come up with a Godzilla swap kit for the 04-10 3v f150s.

The bolt pattern is the same as a mod motor Ford from what I gather so it is probably a matter of time.

@@stevetomblin9007 I really don’t want to replace my 3v 5.4 with another 3v. If there was a kit I’d definitely invest in a 7.3.
You could run a welder from that alternator setup for off-roading repairs on the trail.

We finished a swap into a 93 F150 prerunner at Lenger Racing on time for Thanksgiving week at Glamis. Our customer already had a power steering pump and we used an LS alternator so it would be available in the parts store. AC pump is installed, but most of the vintage air system is still on the shelf until spring

My 2019 6.2 f-250 rear wheel drive with a E85 tune from 5 start with a cai 6 speed destroyed the stock 7.3’s. I raced 3 of them with the 10 speeds and it wasn’t even close. My 6.2 250 pulls the Chevy 6.2 1500 by a few feet.
What about a 03 mustang swap?
Will you be working on the stuff we need to put these in the new edge Mustang?

Man and I thought the coyote was a tight swap to fit between the frame rails can't wait to see how you guys do that on any of the older Fords!
I could be wrong, but I believe the 7.3 is a smaller width than the coyote.

@@j.peterson210 Spent over a year researching it (I have a 70 fastback) and talking to ford/holley EFI. This engine is rear sump and the pickup is built into the pan. The oil pump is also in the rear. IF the aftermarket were to come out with swap pans they would somehow have to move all that to the front/midsump to work with the stock mustang suspension. Also the oil pump is computer controlled, and pressure changes with other variables. So right now, barring someone coming out with an aftermarket solution for all that, cannot be done with stock crossmember/mustang front layout. Given that those are the only likely swap candidate with those requirements, I think this is unlikely.
It is narrower than an FE slightly (9.6x deck height versus 10.1x) but the heads are bigger. The intake runners protrude out of the head and angle up to a flat flange which means a traditional carb-style intake (whether for EFI or not) cannot be used which eliminates the possibility of having a functional/correct-appearing shaker hood.
@@chipcurrey653 Thanks for the additional info...helps clarify the hurdles. Hopefully someone that takes this on and provides a solution, but may be too costly for the average person.

Back in 2009 they promised pack for 3.5 eco. I waited until early 2012 with next month, spring summer fall etc then decided to do it on my own. I heard they do not have manpower for the 7.3 control pack so who knows when it will show. Could be years. There are quite a few 7.3’s running now but using non ford parts. Same place that did them for 6.2 doing the 7.3 but one has to “be somebody” to get one.
It’s been tested, in production.
@@FatFenderGarage very nice! How long before ship? If I was not in middle of dumping $$ into a FE would have gone 7.3 route. Be fraction of cost.
A week ago I ask FR about control pac and they told me “Unfortunately, the control pack is not yet available. Michigan got hit really hard with restrictions resulting from COVID, so unfortunately our engineering/development process slowed dramatically. We are anticipating a summer release of the control pack currently. “

Cannot use the 10 speed with the 460. No standalone controller for the 10 speed. US shift is working on one but no eta. They can use the 10 speed with the 7.3 because it's factory pcm can control it.

Would need head work, a cam and higher compression pistons to get that NA.

3500 for a control pack that's just a stupid price by the way

Before we say go coyote, that is NOT an option I even care about.
This truck is for pulling a boat, small trailer, and is lifted with 37 inch tire I want the torque.
