If you are ever unsure if you got everything in an area, look for green spots on the map. There is also a checkmark for each item type that will appear once you have gotten all of that specific item in a world. 4 checkmarks on a map mean you got everything.
After exploring every inch of a site, finding all the above-mentioned things, and opening all the kettles; a small green banner saying "surveyed" will appear on the map for that site.
@@Slate_Box I believe don't need to ink to clear grey areas, just walk over the them but there's no harm in inking anyway since it increases your hero points. ^-^
@@Slate_Box That's not true, actually. You just need to have been in, inked, or bombed every area of the map. Ink certain makes in easier, but having 100% turf has nothing to do with a map being surveyed.
To do the Squid Roll, you swim in one direction then tilt the control stick in a different direction and press B at the same time. For example, you're swimming forward and tilt the stick left, right, or down. As long as it's not in the same direction you were originally going, you can do one. Also the map has green spots on it to indicate where a hidden thing is.
1:06 when smallfry starts glowing in the overworld and agent 1 or 2 says that he's trying to tell you something, it means smallfry found a secret. Shoot the ground right in front of where he's looking to find it. Edit: Also, you can look at the map of the site to see what areas are highlighted in green, go to those areas to check for secrets in the floor. by throwing smallfry on the ground. If you're close enough to a secret, he'll track it down for you.

Ink storm (the ink rain super) Is actually really good in competitive. It basically does really good damage over time making any enemies that stay in it die that much easier. It's really good in splat zones (king of the hill + turf war) since it can facilitate pushes alongside other stuff it can do.
"I’m doing the 100% run" -every levels -every weapon -every collectibles -all ooze gone -all map stickers (by exploring every corner of the map) If only one of those is not done, not really 100%
In order to check if you've completed a site, check the Alterna Logs in the menu! You don't even have to read them if you don't want to: if every word is understandable and every image is loaded for the log that corresponds with the site number, that means you've completed every level there.
For squid rolls, just now that you have to flick your stick then jump. I discovered you can use this to quickly turn your camera if you press Y at least a frame after the Squid Roll was performed Don’t forget to upgrade your hero gear whenever possible You need Sardiniums to unlock upgrades, which you get as a form of treasure, which I’m pretty sure you already know. If you upgrade enough, you unlock bombs, which Splat is great for offensive purposes, Burst is also great for offense as well as mobility, and curling is good for pure mobility You can actually skip the main way to get to a level by abusing the Hero Shot’s fall off shots. Sometimes it takes practice and patience, but if you want to get to levels first then the ooze and treasure, then use the fall off Don’t forget to talk to Callie ever so often; she’ll give you a free 100 power eggs

Some advice on ensuring you are much less strapped for Power Eggs. Replay the stages from Area 1 and use the other weapon options. All of them. It won't completely solve it, but will allow a bit more freedom towards getting rid of the fuzzy ooze and going level to level. Area 1 isn't super complex and doing so doesn't take long.
There is no reward for using every weapon for every stage. If you did want to theoretically grind for eggs, you’d just redo the one level where you snipe the blowfish, as it’s the fastest

Choc if you want a main with crab then it really depends on your play style. The one I use is splash o matic however you can also use splat dualies too which are good
each area has 4 sets of collectables, each getting a check mark over an icon on the map when completed. 3 music disks, several sardinium, several chests, and a few sunken scrolls (worldbuilding the era of inklings/octolings). Each map then has a reward for fully exploring, giving a "fully surveyed" banner on the map, by removing every striped, black square that covers unexplored terrain. Each kettle (level) cleared in a world deciphers more of the world's corresponding alterna log (lore for the fall of humanity and the region of the story mode), with a fully deciphered log meaning you have found and cleared every kettle in the world. Each world also has 1 well hidden consumable meal ticket that boosts gold or exp for the ENTIRE online lobby. Not tracked, but very worth finding. Finally, the only check mark in completion that could be considered optional (dictating the difference between 100% and "1000%") is to clear every kettle with every available weapon (1-3 per). Every world also has one patrolling orange balloon worth 100 eggs that is often a bit of a puzzle in itself to pop but has nothing tracking if you've done it (they will respawn when leaving to the main hub and returning). There is one final small feature unlocked at 100%, though it is mainly to "duplicate" story mode exclusive decorations which otherwise only have a fixed amount, and it can only be used once a day.

It does 60 damage on direct hit and 30 splash, but it doesn't take much ink so you can throw a few of them in quick succession. It can also be followed up with 1-2 shots with a relatively high power weapon to get a quick kill. Also can be thrown at the ground for mobility and quick paint. "If I hit the red box it explodes, right?" No, it just has a lot more health. "Grab the super" Technically its a Special, but it doesn't really matter. Also Tenta Missiles is the most broken special in multiplayer. You might say "Oh just dodge missiles", but that's exactly what the enemy wants you to do. Missiles just shut down an area for a short time, and that time can secure the enemy a game winning push. Missile spam is absolutely a valid strategy, just very frowned upon. "Is the ink also the inkling's blood?" No, its produced from a sac like squids irl. Long story short, inklings are just squids who evolved to survive on land after 10,000 years. "How do you squid roll?" While in squid form, move in a direction until you have a high enough speed, then flick in another direction and press B. "Which weapons get crab tank?" Splat dualies (high skill floor, really fun once you master them), Splattershot pro (bad sub weapon, decent main weapon), L-3 Nozzelnose (high skill floor, pretty good paint & OK fire rate), Splash-o-Matic (Perfect accuracy, decently beginner friendly). Splash-o-Matic is the best starter weapon for Crab Tank, Dualies can work if you're playing at a higher level. "Idk if I like Ink Storm" Not every special is designed purely for kills. Ink storm is fantastic for getting people out of an area and painting a lot of turf quickly. "Is there any way to know if you 100%-ed a site?" Yes, press X and scroll over to the map with L/R. The green is an area you haven't found everything in and the grey is the area you haven't explored yet. "If anyone is good with curling bombs, send me a clip." Sorry to disappoint, but curling bombs are better used for mobility. I.e. throwing one at the start of a game to get to the middle faster and get map control faster. Not saying there aren't any people who can't do crazy sh*t with curling bombs, just that people don't really use it for that. *Insert gameplay with squeezer* You can tap ZR to fire bullets that have higher range and do more damage with perfect accuracy. "Do they have single player mechanics in multiplayer?" Only the ink rails (not grind rails those are different. You can shoot while on top of grind rails, you can only swim through ink rails).
Curling bombs are pretty good for mobility actually, it basically paints the path ahead for you. Burst bombs are good because you can just throw it at a wall to climb up it, since most maps in Splatoon don't have a lot of verticality for balancing sake.

If the log is fully decoded then you've done all the levels. If the map has no green on it anymore then you've collected all the hidden collectables

I.e. throwing one at the start of a game to get to the middle faster and get map control faster. Not saying there aren't any people who can't do crazy sh*t with curling bombs, just that people don't really use it for that.
*Insert gameplay with squeezer* You can tap ZR to fire bullets that have higher range and do more damage with perfect accuracy.
"Do they have single player mechanics in multiplayer?" Only the ink rails (not grind rails those are different. You can shoot while on top of grind rails, you can only swim through ink rails).
Pro tip: To 100% Splatoon 3, you must beat every level with every. Single. Weapon. Every weapon available in every level, of course.

To get 100% you have to play every level over with every weapon.
Curling bombs are pretty good for mobility actually, it basically paints the path ahead for you.
Burst bombs are good because you can just throw it at a wall to climb up it, since most maps in Splatoon don't have a lot of verticality for balancing sake.
Real squid ink isn't blood either so probably not in a kid-friendly game either
