I thought so. It looks like it has a decocker. I was checking this (and the TH45) out just last night. But they didn't mention that it has that feature on their website.
Wish there was a long version.
Can these be carried without the safety engaged? I've not owned a pistol like this. VP9sk and glock 19 for years
What shocks me more is the PRICE,,,,,,Glock is same price off the shelf out the door (20sf)
@@jeffpatterson8633Yes, hammer down in double action with safety off is a safe way to carry and the method I use with all my hammer fired double action pistols like this one and also my Beretta 92 and CZ 75.
I have had my G3c for a min & it has never had 1 single issue. I do not go easy on it! In my opinion, Taurus has stepped up their game!
Agree- g3c and g2c in 40. g3, g3c, gx4- I checked the g2c trigger with the keeptinkering single action and it's very nice, I prefer the g2c white dot sights also. I'd like the th45 and th10. Maybe in a few months, when I can find them locally .
my g2c went to shit pretty quickly, couldnt get it to cycle properly at all after trying everything. If i ever buy another taurus it will definitely be a revolver.
how many thousands of rounds have you put through it?
@@briandavenport8971 I have a G3 (full size) with over 1000 rounds through it and not a single issue using all different kinds of ammo.
@@briandavenport8971I put about 2200 through a g3 before I sold it to a buddy and got a g3c to keep in the console of my car. Had less malfunctions than a glock 48 I owned.
I'm actually shocked they continued the TH series at all. I was so worried they would discontinue the TH9 & 40, and I'm very glad to see they've leaned into their hammer fired line. Thanks for the video!!!

I've said this before, but I hope with the expansion of the TH series they start giving it the same love as the G series. Would love to see some aftermarket support for the TH.
@@jowpopper790 The G series is a great value, but I prefer the TH. I wish they made the finish a little more durable and had an option for a metal trigger. It's hard to find DA/SA stuff in current production that doesn't cost a ton of money. These are good options if you don't want to buy Turkish

The ergonomics look similar to the TX 22 which feels very comfortable to hold and use. Bever tail looks well designed for slide bite too.
I think the TH10 is going to sell like hotcakes

The TH series has the lowest bore axis of all da/sa . The distance between the beaver tail and the bottom of the slide is like a striker fired pistol . Taurus is rolling on production of good handguns .
This was on my wishlist as soon as it was announced.

Taurus went from being a bad joke to coming back with some really nice options at good prices. I love my G2c. Never had an issue with it

Took my brand new th45 to the range yesterday. What An amazing gun. Runs like a champ. Ate everything I fed it. Zero malfunctions. Accurate. And a joy to shoot. Somehow, the recoil felt significantly less than the recoil of my commander size 1911. 10/10 would recommend

I've got the th45 and I love it. Only thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the blocky grip. Shoots straight and doesn't say no when I pull the trigger.

Beautiful pistol 😍! Love ambi guns due to the fact I am ambidextrous by default. Funny thing my ambi Ruger American is hard to release on the left too. Thanks for the heads up on this nice firearm. I have the Th9 and Th40 compact. The only complaint I've had is the magazine release being gritty(it got a bit better over time). I've been eyeing this one for a little bit. I'm interested in your range review, I remember you not being overly impressed with the Th9. This one looks pretty nice. Good video as always.

I own 5 Taurus handguns. 2x g2c 9mm. Absolutely Love them, Never Babied them at the range. Zero Negative Issues of Any kind from them.
Taurus G3 9mm full size. Another Excellent Gun. 725 rounds thru it. Not one hiccup.
GX4 9mm, This thing is a Great Shooter! Straight out of the Box, Zero mods of any kind, Ran 500 rounds through it.! Another Success story!
Lastly, Taurus pt92 9mm.. Wicked Good Shooter!!
In my experience with these guns. I Gotta say TAURUS Seriously Stepped Up Their Manufacturing Game...
You forgot to mention my favorite feature of the safety, the decocking feature when you sweep it down. 😁
Back in the 90's taurus made a sweet buy out on a S&W factory with tooling. They started the scadmium cyl light weight pocket revolvers. The extra 1,2,3 rounds double action large frame revolvers,,,same with automatics,,,taurus, very inovative.

Have both the TH9 and TH40 - happy with both. Probably will pick up one of these.
I've become a big fan of the 10mm over the last several years. I like the 10mm in a pistol but even more in a PCC. It's a great round, other than the cost. Taurus has gotten a lot better over the years and the Taurus firearms I have experience with have all been very good. A new Taurus 10mm is definitely something interesting and worth taking a look at. The price is right, especially for a 10mm pistol. There are a lot of ammo companies selling 10mm ammo that is essentially .40 cal ammo by specs. Hopefully, you'll have some ammo that is more in line what 10mm is meant to be. Really looking forward to your shooting video of the TH10.
Which PCC do you have for it? My best friend and I both have the HiPoint 1095, and love 'em. They're a bit heavy (especially mine. I dropped it into a HighTower armory bullpup shell. It is very silly, but very fun to shoot) but work well. Not a fan of the single stack magazines, but as the .45 drum mags work in the 10mms, we each have one for ours. Makes my bullpup look VERY sci fi.

My son and I each have a Hi-Point 10-95. Yes, they are a little bit heavy but they run all day long and are more than capable. Those are the only 10mm PCC's I currently have but the Hi-Point 1095's are excellent PCC's.
I'm glad that you mentioned your setup because I purchased the High Tower Armory MBS 95 10mm Auto in Flat Dark Earth in January 2022 and still have not done the conversion.
Don't ask why, it's been an insane couple of years and the kit is still in the box. Your comment may (hopefully) motivate me to finally do the conversion, lol. Glad you like your setup, I really have to do it soon. Thanks for reaching out. Best wishes.
@@notsosilentmajority1 Be aware, the conversion only really saves you a couple inches OAL, and makes the trigger TERRIBLE (As expected for this sort of bullpup conversion.) My favorite aspect of the conversion are the nice recessed MLOC mounting sites that fit some of the nicer slimline lights and lasers like a glove. I don't plan on swapping back to the original stock any time soon, just want you to have the best possible info.

I feel optics are over rated... Bulky complicating carry options, battery powered has its own set backs, I've decided I'll probably never do optics on a pistol again.

To be fair, the majority of people don't use optics on their pistols. It's nice to see a DA/SA option in a category full of striker fired guns.
@@joshklaver47 For sure. I have both, and VASTLY prefer DA/SA for a full-size handgun. I don't mind striker for subcompacts, but if you have the size, IMO DA/SA is just superior. My current go-to 10mm is a Tanfoglio Witness, with a 17# Wolff recoil spring (Factory spring won't handle fullhouse rounds. With the spring it'll run 'em all day.) and metal frame. Quite a bit heavier than the TH10, but similar in most other respects.

Haven't bought a Taurus product since the G2S and it's been a nice weapon. I'm still not a fan of the 10MM from any manufacture......just have too many calibers in the safe now. I actually would like to get rid of a couple of them that I probably shouldn't have purchased, but like usual, I haven't gotten rid of anything since my dad bought me my Daisy Red Ryder in 1960. This one will do well I'm sure, priced right and Taurus has really stepped up since producing the G2's. Thanks, always enjoy your videos.
Had bad luck with Taurus lately. My GX4 had to go back twice, dead trigger and then the other issue they had... Then just a brand new 22LR revolver, the 942, firing pin did not ignite any primers...
Very similar to the early PT800 series of firearms. I owned the PT809 amd PT840, both were great firearms. I still carry my original G2C. Over 1500rds thru it, with never a single hiccup that I can remember. Taurus makes great firearms for the price points they always offer.
Well it's an updated pt800 series so it would indeed look like the older version

I have the TH45, and it's a solid firearm.
I carry the TH9 for duty as an armed security officer. Great platform! I carry decocked with the long, double-action pull for the first shot.
Looking forward to the TH10. But that will only be for home carry.
Several LEO's in my district have opted for the TH40 and they seem to be holding up well.

@@joshklaver47 They probably would. The State of Florida only allows 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, and .38 Special (in a .38 Special or .357 revolver), or a .380 for P.I. work (which is only included because it's part of the same statute).
@@stephentthomas The TH40 would be a good option. Buffalo Bore makes some 155gr ammo that delivers over 580 ft lbs. Very stout.
I'm 72. I've had some trouble with pulling the hammer back on a couple of my 1911's. Love my TH9 and one of the best things is I can cock the hammer easy with my thumb while holding it in a normal position. Also very easy to work the slide. It's damn near perfect for me. Another I conceal carry is a Taurus G3c with a Viridian trigger guard laser mounted. I have a Smith and Wesson Shield Plus that everyone is nuts about but I like the fuller feel in my hand I guess because I choose the G3c now over the Shield Plus.
I guess I'll wait for the price to come down after the introduction and your range review before I decide on getting one. But it might be on my birthday gift list for July.
Dan, can you determine if 40 s&w can be fired in that ? I know Rock Island's 10mm will run the 40 cal.

That is definitely a buy.
The 10MM came out in the 80s...colt brought out the Delta Elite 10mm...it had been used by special ops for sometime prior.
Pull and hold the trigger all the way back and while holding it back flip on the safety om. See if Taurus fixed that old safety issue.
Old Taurus semi autos were capable of firing 1 shot if you did what I just described. I have a PT145 that never went back for recall and can do that.
Saw this for for $440. Might pick it up before the price goes back up.
I had the TH9 for a while and I loved it. Looking forward to trying out the Th45 and TH10.

Both my 10mms came with a 17lb recoil spring, and can remain the same for several drop in barrel swaps, so not too stout. (.357 sig, 9X25 Dillon etc. same spring)
Edit- was issued my first 10mm in S&W model 1076 in 2000.
Interesting that they used the TH hammer fired platform instead of the GX striker. Either way, hope they release a TORO model. I'm thinking it'd be a perfect backwoods beater.
It makes sense to me. There are tons of videos out there of guys bragging about their 10mm pistols but they all retail for more than what this ones actual street price will be and unlike the standard 1911 platform this one holds 15 rounds in the mag. If it works well I believe Taurus will sell a lot of them.
Looks like a great bedside table piece for home defense, and pretty low bore axis for a hammer fired gun. Don't know what the width is, but to raise interest for a CCW, Taurus should release a shorter-grip model (9-12 round capacity). Hopefully without changing the topside - a 4.25" barrel seems perfect for velocity and taming recoil, and I'd not be interested in compromising there.
I have the TH9 and TH45 and they are great guns.

I'm going back to the TH series because I want the TH40. G2C's and G3C's are cool for 9mm but, the TH's have good capacity for larger calibers.
Got a th40 sitting on my bathroom counter. Man that gun chews through any ammunition. Big up to taurus for polishing the feed ramp as well.

My TH40c is my nightstand pistol, and it has never had a failure through 50-100 rounds at the range every three or four weeks for three years. It was my EDC over that time, then I switched to a XD-M 10mm compact a year ago.
Literally, just three days ago, I was thinking that I wish someone would release a more budget-friendly 10 AUTO. There are still relatively few choices: G20, Springfield XD, a handful of 1911s…and, um, Hi-Point 😮
I live in Utah. When I’m in the mountains, I have been carrying my Taurus G3 9mm with Federal Premium Syntech 147gr Hardcast. This should be fairly effective against a big cat, but less-than desirable against a big Black Bear. Many friends carry 10 Autos others carry magnum revolvers. I was just thinking that if a company released a more budget 10, I would switch over as my bear gun. And of course, leave it to Taurus. I’m in!

The 10MM is one of the most underrated cartridges, in my opinion. I've been a big time fan since the advent of the Bren Ten in 1983. I pulled the trigger on a compact model in 1985, which I still own. I also own a Glock 20 Gen 4, a Tanfoglio Force Plus Compact and a Smith & Wesson M & P 2.0. ... Love me some 10MM !!! ... Will definitely have to keep an eye on this. Thanks Dan !

It’s so weird that you can spend 500 to 600 bucks for a Smith & Wesson and get a cardboard box. Then spend less money and it comes in a hard case.

The obvious argument would be “do you want a quality gun or a quality case”. And Typically S&W would have won that fight.
But NOW w/ their current Quality Control? Shooot, the Taurus may be the better overall option🙈

I remember the TH i think the one I saw was 9 or 40. Looks great in person. Wow didn’t think they’d bring it in 10, this would be perfect replacement for my G3 which I don’t shoot much anymore I got too many 9mm’s. And hammer! Being Taurus reliability I gotta look at some beat down videos & high round count videos like when I was scared to buy the g3 😂 and I see it has the ugly tennifer finish smh scratches way too easy. List it under 400 & I think it’ll do well
Only 2 issues that i have with the initial unboxing. 1. The slides finish seemed to already be missing on the right side and all of the taurus semi's that ive had start rusting bad when that happens. 2. Plastic guide on a 10mm. Im sure these are just me being picky but when taurus corrects those 2 things, i might come back to them

I really hope that tool is a quality and durable addition. It is a great idea and that DA/SA and decocker is solid imo. If the trigger wears in for smoothness that raises the bar. I would like to see a plate option with a threaded barrel. Looking forward to some long-term reviews. I also hope it reliably shoots .40 as well.

Not a good idea to shoot 40 in 10mm. They aren't a rimmed case like in a revolver 357, .38 special. The rim is used for headspace. The 40 and 10mm are rimless and headspace on the case mouth. The 40 is too short in the 10mm chamber. You are asking for trouble IMHO.
@@johncadloni4538Not at all. Lots of people fire .40 ammo in 10mm pistols with no issues. It's a lower powered round, so you have plenty of safety margin. It's a good way to save money on ammo.
That is literally the last thing I expected when you opened the case. Especially on the TH platform, it never seemed popular enough to expand upon (which sucks I’m a fan of hammer fired)
