Once again you absolutely killed it man. I am a real 33 year old fast and the furious fan that understands how dumb these movies can be but I also still enjoy the hell out of them. The way you do these videos is spot on. They aren't ment to be taken as seriously as shawshank. You have to go into the theater knowing there will be cars, there will be girls, some kind of race, explosions and lots of family. You laugh, you cry and you only talk about the movie with other weirdos that still go watch it in theater.

Fun fact this movie was fully filmed in Puerto Rico insted of Brazil and they just added cgi in the background to make it look like Brazil I was visiting family when they were filming there and got to see the valt chase being filmed in San juan

My biggest issues with this movie, being a brazilian petrolhead, are how little was actually shot in Brazil and how most of the vehicles were never even sold here. None of the police cars are what the Rio cops actually use.
There's also the whole deal with a country bigger than the US lower 48 is always depicted as being Rio surrounded by the Amazon rain forest and nothing else, but that's how Hollywood always does.

The strangest thing is that a good part of the film was recorded in Costa Rica, not in Brazil, and in fact they studied a lot about Brazil to make the film, the train scene doesn't make any sense, we practically don't use the train to transport cargo, much less people. the transport of everything here in Brazil is by road and I think it's stupid as a Brazilian that they didn't show the car scene in Brazil, after all they did that with Cuba, well they could also do it with Brazil, right (many of the cars in the film have like a registered copy in Brazil this is when there is none)
It most likely had a lot to do with filming permits, practicality and budget. For instance most of Tokyo drift was filmed in Los Angeles and maybe Georgia or some other southern us state.. Because Japan doesn't like giving out film permits. Idk if that's the case is Brazil or what. As for things like the train or the local car scene, they're primarily just trying to make a crazy action movie so they're gonna make whatever they want exist where ever they want regardless of how much sense it makes. I understand the frustration though if you're actually from there but at the end of the day, this series has always been more interested in being insane than being accurate to anything, be it the setting or the rules of reality.

I loved Fast Five, but I hate where it lead after that. I liked the heist and racing concepts mixing together but I hate all the ones after because they just turned into spy movies and I swear the acting got way worse and all the dumb ass characters they introduced like John Cena, Jason Statham and fucking AguaMan so now the franchise is basically a shittier version of The Expendables just bring in big faces for no reason
I mean to each his own but I think the worst fast and furious movie is better than the best expendables.
