    So glad that Ivan took the picture of that security guard rushing him away because otherwise that stellar shot at 11:36 would not have been wasted on that double exposure

    Ah... Waiting every last second I could before that guy kicked us out would have been far more worth it without the always ever present accidental double-exposure, hahaha. What a fun time this was though. Photos really turned out great, and the people around us were so interesting and chill. Amazing time. Really well done video, Robin. Happy we managed to get done even with the sub optimal weather, hahahaha. Totally worth it.

      But without the shot being wasted on the double exposure, the shot at 11:36 would have been instead! It was worth the sacrifice, that shot is my favorite

    Actually I think both films are pretty similar. Would be interesting to see the pics side by side. Then the differences may become more obvious. Maybe the Kodak shows a little bit more contrast while the Fujifilm shows more subtle nuances of grey. But that's just my impression.

    • @R2DJ3B
      @R2DJ3B 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed! Even the film simulation of acros is greyish :)

    • @therealsirrobin

      I would say the film simulation only shares the name with Acros and that's about it. 😃

    I feel like I can’t get the same shots on a digital camera. I also loved shooting in film I remember my school had a dark room where we developed our film and loved the touch a sharp look of the photo prints

  • @akaYu07

    There's a lever on the film back that enables or disables double exposures.
    Hope this prevent future unwanted artsy black and white shots.

    • @vedostuu
      @vedostuu 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tian you mean the rewind lever? ;) rb backs do not have double exposure prevention..

    • @therealsirrobin
      @therealsirrobin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only way to prevent a double exposure is advancing to the next frame right away all the time or just let it happen. 😃

    • @akaYu07
      @akaYu07 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bring a 28mm or 35mm and take pictures. If you don't get close your pictures will have too much empty space. If you're friendly and approachable people don't mind you getting a bit close to them.

      My portrait of the guy with glasses at 14:00, the one clearly just standing there and waiting while I count, was obviously requested for his permission. Everyone else is just us approaching and doing what we do.

    I used the Kodak TMAX400 120 film for many years, I shot it at 200 ASA/ISO and developed it in a thin solution for a long time with very few and very gently agitations, in that way the film had more grey tones and had still very good contrast, in modern words, larger dynamic range. I guess you can do the same with a Ilford Delta 400 film. Of paper I used Ilford Multigrade. Made great images from my 6x6 Hasselblad !

    • @atroche1978
      @atroche1978 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm using this same technique for Tri-X 400 and it makes a huge difference. For the last couple of years I was agitating more frequently during processing and found that my images where coming out a bit to contrasty.
