  • It was surprisingly fun driving the new Honda ZR-V! In this video, I share with you my review and thoughts on this amazing compact SUV. Is it as sporty to drive as it looks? And is it worth considering if you are looking for a family SUV?

Nice! For this car's case though, I think you can't simply add the torque and HP figures from both engines. The true combined output is 315nm and about 181hp. Also, can you do a review for the latest CR-V when you get your hands on one?

Yes, that's exactly what I am planning to do soon, hopefully will be able to review the new CR-V early next month 🙂

Just a bit of Australian content. Test Drove this car back on May 23rd. Put a deposit on a ZRV hybrid straight away. Test drove Toyota Asmos but came back to the ZRV as it just felt much better. Only negative after waiting now for the car to arrive (5 months) is Honda Dealer still can't tell me if the car is built or a what stage I will receive it. There's not much communication from Japanese Honda to the dealers in Australia. The wait times for Toyota in Australia are crazy, they are now not taking any more orders for Camry hybrids - the wait time for these was 2 years. Promised ETA for my ZRV is December 2023, I'm not that confident it will arrive then.

Hmm... seems like NZ dealerships have more stock, and wait time seem to be less. Probably because we have much less population here. Good luck with your purchase, it's a great vehicle, you are gonna love it 😄

That's a great colour. What is it called? I don't think that the ZRV IS available in this colour in Australia.

I think it's called the Nordic Forest Pearl, you are thinking of getting a ZR-V?

@@sundaymorningdrives We’ve always had Hondas. We’re thinking of going to a hybrid. I really like the ZRV.

@johnbassett5407 It's honestly one of the best hybrids, great to drive and very fuel efficient, you will love it 😀

The usual comment from other reviews is it is pricey. It's not perfect in every respect. I can't figure out, for example why the UK import has a sunroof. It doesn't have the magic seats and doesn't have grab handles in the front. I also think it would be tricky learning how to get into a parking spot with the gear change console.

Yes, the NZ spec can be quite strange sometimes, and you can't get a 7 seater option with awd either. In terms of price it's not cheap, but I think the build quality and the nice driving dynamics do justify a but of its price. But also in that price category there are a lot of choices out there, just depends on personal preferences I guess.
