The new ZR-V sits between the HR-V and CR-V SUVs, based on the 11th generation Honda Civic, it uses the 2.0L e:HEV powertrain delivering 184PS to the front wheels! Overall I was very impressed with the ZR-V, it was smooth to drive and rather premium.
The ZR-V is only available as a self charging hybrid vehicle and has a high equipment level as standard, meaning prices can look high, when in reality it is competitive with the current market. I hope my review provides some useful information and highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the ZR-V.

That was a great review, thanks.
I will be looking at that in April.
Loved the detail very informative
That’s great to hear, I’m glad you found it useful!
Really well edited video. I think the ZRV is going to be popular with longtime Honda drivers.
Thanks Oliver! Yes I think many existing Honda drivers will gel well with the ZR-V, but I can imagine people coming from more premium brands which is also Honda’s aim.
Great review, nice editing, subscribed.
Thank You!!
Well presented review. Discovered more insight into this premium product from Honda. Well done 👍🏾
I’m glad you found my video useful Mark! Thanks for watching and your comment 😊
I see Honda adapted quickly from the Civic lower quality decisions:
better materials (especially in the back), head rest in the back are fully collapsible to offer full view on the rear glass, back arm rest is at elbow level and not low and flappy as in the Civic, metal padels on the steering wheel.
Honda needs to reconsider their rear lights philosophy. They are incredible big and dissonant from the sporty front and profile!
The price issue will solve itself, if you sell you sell, if you don't then you drop the prices and accept lower margins
Yes Honda have definitely done a good job helping to justify the premium on the Civic. I rarely have rear passengers, but from a families point of view, you are absolutely correct that the rear quality is important, so I’m glad they have fixed this on the ZR-V!
The rear lights, have a more chunky look which is reflected in the design of the car, but they don’t feel like they’ve majorly thought out. The rear looks inconspicuous, most people can tell it’s a premium SUV from the back but it’s not the most dynamic aspect of the car.
@@Carcode They do tend to look much better in reality than on screen. I like what they are doing with the interior space (imo ratio of wheelbase/length should be as high as possible from safety and engineering pov) and drive train (e:hev). Actually I would hope they increase the system HP (Imagine a Honda Si with Accord eHEV power 204hp :)
Not really an SUV fan but that looks alright actually. It’s like a bigger Civic.
That’s it! Being honest, the Civic has a larger boot, better efficiency and is cheaper so I prefer it, but the ZR-V does a good job at being an SUV which is most peoples preferred choice. Thanks for watching 😄
Porra! Tudo isso?
Like.
Very desirable car, seems a bit pricey compared to equivalent models though.
It it really nice! Although it’s not the most competitively priced in the segment it’s not miles away from other cars like the Alfa Romeo Tonale, Audi Q3 and Renault Austral.
Looks a bit odd but it's very cheap on Motabilty, even top spec, so it's my next car. Upgrading from the Jazz which is even more expensive.
I quite like the design but I suppose it’s not the sharpest most modern looking thing! Yes the new Motability offer on it is excellent, especially with the New Vehicle Payment if your eligible for that. Thanks for watching 😊
I was going to replace my Jazz on Motability, but they wanted almost £2k up front payment wheres the ZR-V is only £799 with the new vehicle payment leaves just £49 to pay on the Sport version! Jazz is around £29k new and the ZR-V £41K - how does that make sense? I think they are currently offering £5k off if you take their finance deal?
Still, I am looking forward to my new vehicle coming soon@@Carcode
@HowardDrysdale
I agree with your sentiments..I to am getting a car on motability and was looking at the jazz..but after looking at the advance payment of the jazz,I opted for the ZRV,due to the advance payments being lower..
To be fair even though I have seen a lot of negative views on the ZRV,I actually love the car...I see no real issues with it...but I guess everyone has different opinions 😌
@@HowardDrysdale Yes the ZR-V Motability offer is excellent! Yes the current finance offer is a £5,000 deposit contribution too. I think the Jazz has been priced so high because they are quite hard to get hold of and the moment and they want to reduce demand and increase SUV sales!
Enjoy your ZR-V!
Shouldn't he be in school?
No I’m 19 😅
Honda pulled out of UK claiming wanting to be more home built. Then introduce this built on Civic platform which was UK built but this …… built in China. Insult to UK buyers.
