Here’s my theory on what happened to X-45. So as you can see on the galactic map, X-45 is right on the edge of the Valdis sector, where Cyberstan, the home world of the Cyborgs is located. So maybe the Cyborgs found out about the lab and the battle station and decided to launch an attack on the planet, which possibly led to a nuclear strike by Super Earth or the Cyborgs and created the high radiation levels on X-45 and the explosions from the nuclear strike buried the lab in rubble.
I was absent for Malevalon Creek due to being on holiday. I carry around the shame like a heavy weight around my neck. But I hope to have made up for it with a heavy contribution to X45. Also, yeah, the Commando slaps. Love the insight into the lore, dude. Keep it comin'.
Holy shit, I've just thought, a SEAF station that was also a sort of social hub for the game would be IN-CREDIBLE. Though I suppose if I'm being realistic, it would have to serve some sort of gameplay or social function to be implemented in a way that felt more than just 'we put it in because cool'. Though, sometimes that is a good enough reason. You got any ideas how that could be implemented in an interesting way, Blackburner?
Glad you celebrated the 4th. I did too, and even got art done for my first animation project. Now I’m rested and itching for Managed Democracy again. The battle stations will be for platoons, and include “platoon stratagems,” possibly including the laser-pointer nuke. Hopefully they’re a social space. As for X-45, it was either nuked in the First Galactic War’s final stages, or incompetent scientists fucked it up during the long occupation of Cyberstan.

I think X-45 was actually part of the cyborg faction during Helldivers 1 but got nuked before their plans could come into fruition. The reason the Automatons are present is because they are tied to the cyborgs.
