Wearing sandals here? Im still wondering if here they do have a safety officer. I worked in a construction site sometime. There you couldn't get inside the site without proper safety clothing whether you're working or not everyone must put on a safety clothing. Here it's worse. This is a heavy construction. Be safe people.
Indian never pay attention to safety. Look what this workers are doing exercising hands unnecessarily, as if they are controlling the crank lifting. Need to educate the responsibility of how to perform duty. So we have less accidental casualty.
Hats off to those workers who do those dangerous jobs. But, sadly it appears primitive....no sense of safety. Even the harness which holds the girder doesn’t appear convincing.
I cringed watching those guys placing their bare hands right under the hanging concrete beam while meddling with preparation for the beam lowering process. Harness or machinery malfunction could have easily dropped the beam any moment ……
Totally unsafe work (1) area should be barricated with caution tape (2)area should be cordoned off(without workers under girder during lifting) (3) In another girder workers are standing on the peer. (4) without PPEs (5) Without Hand rail (6) Without Safety BELT (3)
Once again we see how cheap life is in these countries, no PPE whatsoever. I would like to know what happens if one of these guys gets killed, or maimed. How much does the employer pay out?
I do personally work in bridge construction. Many experiences & also involved in beams launching. These people are the most lack of safety education I have ever seen. Wearing slippers, no body harness, putting hands, arms & foot under the overhangs beams... Idiots or ignorant ? India safety construction bodies should be a shame this videos shown to the world.
