- Pier, pier cap, pier pedestal, pile cap & bearing pedestals for bridge construction - #Reinforcements and #Construction animation are presented here. Bridge Piers are designed to withstand both vertical and horizontal loads. Bearing pedestals, pier cap, pier, pier pedestal are the elements used to transfer the loads to the foundation. Pipe & pile cap are predominantly designed foundation due to heavy loading. #Piercaps transfer the superstructure loads to piers. #Pierpedestal at bottom of pier used to increase the bearing area at pier - pile cap junction. Bearing pedestals are used to support superstructure bearing over the pier cap.

Great video, why didn’t or was it not needed to anchor the rebar of the pedestals into the pier cap ?
Probably just fully developed as a straight bar
