Hi Marco! I had noticed that when bulk editing, materials only seem to be exposed on skeletal mesh assets and not static meshes for some reason. I'm not sure why it is available on one asset type and not the other. An alternative method of doing this batch assignment could be to create an editor utility widget? Thanks!
@@MattLakeTA ye pretty crazy... I have hundreds of static mesh props to reassign... I am new to UE so I still don't know a lot of things, and I surely don't know how to do a Utility Widget! 🤣😅
@@PolyMadd I could make a tutorial for you on how to make an editor utility to batch edit files, with your specific task of reassigning materials if that would help Marco?
@@MattLakeTA that would be great of course! But if you won't, I'll find another solution. Anyway, I will have to dig deep into UE for few weeks, as I'm a complete noob, I used Unity for 15 years!
im glad i found this, just found a cool building asset on artstation but has 300 or so components and the collision is bad by default for complex topology
In recent versions the language use on the button has changed, in 5.4 it now says "Edit Selection In Property Matrix" instead of Bulk Edit. Just look for the Property Matrix text and you'll find it :)
@@MattLakeTA thank you, but I dont have nothing, my project is on 5.2. Saw a comment on forum said they have removed it due to some issues? I'm assuming they've brought it back post 5.2 with different name.
