Man, the absolute perfect boat for the Pac West right there. We're looking at the 28 Sea Sport, obviously this is a major upgrade but they are about the same price.
Impressive build quality I especially like the attention to wiring detailsThe addition of a grill and shower would make this an excellent choice for crossing over to the Bahamas for a weekend outing
Can't wait to see their new 27 coming out soon. Hopefully Capt. Steve can do a review of that one. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all yu guys to put out the best boating content on the web:-)
Nice review. The design reminds me of the fishing boats back in Scotland, but they would be diesel inboards. I like how it is a functioning fishing boat, but with plenty of creature comforts onboard.
With twin 270 Volvo diesels the boat will get 2.1 to 2.2 mpg at 31 mph fully loaded with fuel, water, gear and food for a week. That will give you a range of 530 miles with 300 gallons of fuel ( standard with diesel) with reserve. Not bad for 30' boat.
get an oxe outboard diesel and keep the large fuel tanks :P since 600hp pushes it to 50mph twin 200 diesels should be good for cruising in the 25 knot range
Originally they had only the twin stern drive diesels, much better fuel economy and handling in my opinion. In fact they had a single diesel option that most of the serious fishing guys went with, the range and performance on that was awesome. I guess outboards are the thing now but I’d get the stern drive.
Boat manufactures need to understand that a doorway in all American homes built after 1960 have a height of 6 foot 8 inches, that should be the minimum height for clearance on above deck cabins and T-tops. Being a tall male, it is desired, and anyone appreciates the luxury openness of high ceilings, less claustrophobic feelings.
this boats simply not big enough, depending where you leave from and decide to go, crossing the Atlantic is a 3500mile trip. the full tank needed would be as much as this boat weighs.
BoatTest, Aquaholics, and NautiStyles have me wanting a boat every video
I've been dropping hints that Captain Steve and Nick Burnham need to do a collab video for years - one day!

This guy is gold
The three best.
There are dozens of us!
I always love how Captain Steve doesn't _review,_ he does _inspections and evaluations._
That's a great utilitarian / fishing boat and it's nice to see a smaller boat with such huge fuel tanks to give you that long range.
Always impressed by how much good information you get into a 10 minute video!

Love to see her set up for long-range cruising. Maybe ditch some fishing features for fuel etc....

We need a Nordic Tug 44 boat test, and an American Tug 435
Such a great boat! This is my kind of vessel! I LOVE IT! It would be nice if it had a grill and a sink outside in the back.
This boat would be perfect if it had AC and a Seakeeper and folding stern seatings. Dual Large Garmin Screens would have been really nice as well.
Looking sharp Captain Steve. Thanks for helping us dream about boat ownership!
Looking sharp Cpt.

Diesel inboards for me also , i like to fish off the back and not have outboards in the way .
Wait.. he brought out the sportcoat for a 30'? That is a serious statement about this boat.
I cost over a half million... so it's really a yacht:-)
Nice looking boat.

Can you put a sea keeper in it as a standard option?

Why don't do a review Seabiscuit behind you?
Did I note the absence of generator & AC?.
Pity no showering facilities or stabilisers. Water conversion?
He didn't mention it, but it is a wet head, i.e. has a shower in the same compartment.
Nice one, Me liky
Nice Boat
I still prefer the Boston Whaler 345
What does a boat like this one cost ?
go to our website and find out! ;) boattest.com/boats/ocean-sport/30-roamer-2022
Poor Captain Steve could never reach those rod holders.
Ótimo ⛵✌👍👏👏👏👏👏
At first it looked like a catamaran
That boat would definitely need air conditioner down here in Miami.
Boating in Miami is the worst... terrible weather there.
nice range. too bad no one can afford it
Couldn't you put fuel tanks on that to cross the Atlantic? Seems like the engine's would do a proper job.
The boat isn’t certified for that

This boat needs a generator and Air Conditioning.
