One thing I noticed is how high out of the water this boat runs. Looks like you have managed to design out any additional drag. Look at a 30' Duckworth and see how low in the water that boat runs. It almost looks like its plowing water. I know there is no comparison of quality and workmanship as Bay Weld is a premium boat builder but just wanted to give an example on the difference in engineering a design between a custom boat and a production boat. The Duckworth burns a lot of fuel (.8MPG). Great boats and great designs.
Those pods help a lot with lift. I'm pretty sure the Duck gets closer to 1.0 mpg (w 225 X 2) and substantially more with those new funky props... what I hear anyways. I had a 33' Perregrine w 2 X 225 for many years in AK. Much heavier than Duck and I had 1.0 mpg.
Yes.. there's plenty of examples of people searing off pods in shoals and from logs even saw a video of someone who hit a shipping container that was floating a foot under the water line
Yep, nothing to protected the props or drives, nothing will kick up like if you hit something with an outboard. Its going to get sheared off or worse case get rammed up into the hull and breach it. Plus all the below deck space the engines and drives take up. There is a reason why multiple large outboards are popular and gaining more popularity each day.
Wow... The things men can fall in love with. Wow.
It’s a beautiful boat . I hope my dream come true .
Now that is mint.
Those bay weldsook indestructible.
That's a beauty 😎👍👍
Wow, that is one impressive boat!

Beautiful
cool props
she's a Beauty !
What a damn boat .
Very nice
How does she does in big mixed water though? Mixed swells and waves? Head, following and beam.
What is the approximate price of a boat like this?
And those Volvo's. Heard good and bad. Thoughts?
Do you have other or use other engines besides Volvo Penta.
Hmmm for Alaska Huh a pod drive in Alaska 0_o what about all the dead heads { logs just under the surface } those pods will snap right off
Where are you guys located?
Thank you for explaining the Volvo IPS system (and the pictures with it). Awesome.
I'm not sure about that pod drive. Seems unprotected
So you’re going to use it for wakesurfing?…………………………….
what if it’s in shallow waters/or a solid debry unnoticed?! would definitely destroy the prop pad right?
