I still love that lens a lot actually. When you punch in to 35mm, you don’t get any vignetting and they still make an awesome pair. Alternatively, you can use the clear image zoom function on the FX6 to essentially go into “super 35” mode and use it that way as well. Although I think there is a slight image quality loss. I’ve tried both ways and have great results so I don’t mind.
Damn this was really exactly what I wanted to see, dude you said exactly what I thought, I ordered mine today, so I'm gonna contribute to the rig build videos soon as well😂💯
@@TimmyLodhi Still waitin' for that camera...🙄hope it really comes in the "second half of the year". I swear if they postpone the delivery one more time...😤
Hello. Full Sail student here with the same camera. Also a youtuber. just subscribed. Video was great and you are funny. I got here typing Tilta rig. They should sponsor you. I wanted to see th etilta rig on this camera shooting in vertical like for social media.
Maybe make a video on why you switched from the Canon C300 MK II over to the Sony FX6? I was about to buy a used C300 and transition over to Canon glass, but then I saw the BTS for the music video you shot for Spiritual Cramp - so I stuck with Sony!
Eyyy! That’s why I make these types of videos. Because people always have great suggestions. I’ll take a look at some options but that sounds like a great idea.
If you zoom out to the widest focal length you’ll get some vignetting but when punched in to 35mm you’re ok. Or alternatively, you can shoot with the FX6 in super35 mode

One of the best builds I've seen out there. Btw, why not using a FF lens? Don't get me wrong, I love the Sigma 18-35 and I may use it at 28-35mm on FF, but with a FF camera I'd rather go with something like a 24-70 2.8, specially when the 1.3x crop that you need to cover the lens gets you arround 3.2K (upscaled)
So I actually only use that lens at 35mm which doesn’t give me vignetting and is more equivalent to like a 20mm wide. Tbh, I actually use the Sony 24-105mm as my main lens for this build but I had that one on the camera I used to film this sequence 😂
question, so it looks like right now the FX6 is about $6,000. can you tell me about the estimate cost of the other needed gear - mics, mounts, lenses that one would need to buy in addition to operate this camera? not the extra things, but just the other things that is necessary. would it be an additional $3K - $5K? Thanks
Still waiting on that Tilta sponsorship… 🤔
They won’t 😂
Still waiting. . .
OMG! Aaaaaaaaaahh! That build is dope!
Thanks Ryan! 😁

Beautiful rig and smooth edit, keep it up Timmy!
Thanks so much Jonathan! Appreciate you watching.
I love this video. I just purchased my Sony FX6 Subscribed
Ready to see what you create with it! Your Sony A7iii videos are amazing so I can only imagine what beautiful images you will create with the Fx6!
Thank you my friend!
@@TimmyLodhi you’re welcome! Keep pushing out the great content. Your Channel is definitely underrated
Great video bro, keep it up!
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Great video
Ok I’m here now ✌🏽
sync is off? Good looking rig.
Very entertaining! Always interesting to see what other creators use to build up their rig 😉
Thank you! I agree. Always give me a little bit of insight on how to build out my rig a bit better.
Nice!
Curious as to why you have the Sigma 18-35, considering that it’s a super 35 lens.

you need to invest into sony native glass. You will never go back. 50 1.2 been magical
I own Sony native glass. I just didn’t use it on this build because it was on the camera I used to film this video

Why not get a dovetail and bridge plate so you can accurately balance the camera?

@@TimmyLodhi any links to what to dovetail and bridge plate that's appropriate for this build? Thanks for sharing your build.

Hi, how many hours do you get out of that battery with monitor attached to it etc?
2-3 hrs
This was very cool man. Love your take on building out the rig. How heavy was the setup?
It’s pretty heavy! Wouldn’t wanna rock it handheld for an entire day but if you’re using a tripod or an Easyrig then it’s honestly the perfect weight.
Where did you get the piece of rubber for the mic mount.
Amazon. Just search “shotgun mic rubber spacer”.
Isn't the sigma 18-35 a crop sensor lens.. The FX6 is full frame.. No vignetting?

mounting the monitor on the hot shoe is not a good idea... just saying
