Is there anyone who noticed that in this piece there are several phrases with a sort of polymeter? For instance from 0:23 to 0:40 the melody has a 5 note pattern equally distributed in a 4 beat rhythm. It's kind of deceptive and sometimes it throws me off when trying to sing it. I'm not an expert in celtic music but this sounds awesome!
You cold have cut out the intro vocal imo. That would have made the loop much nicer. For me it looks like the intro somewhat out of place and that the song pauses every 2 minutes. Apart from that good choice of music, my favorite in fact! (I assume that this is the only H4 track that you have extended)
I think I tried that and it didn't actually allow for the loop to be any better, I think it was worse because the end doesn't exactly match the beginning, so it's jarring. And yes, I normally do extended versions of game music after I'm done playing through the game, and that's not yet the case for HoMM4. I did this because there is no good track specifically for the grass theme.
