    One of the best claims to have if you have it. I got 50% just for that.

    • @VAClaimsInsider
      @VAClaimsInsider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, severe bilateral flat feet is 50%. Plantar Fasciitis has a new diagnostic code & rating and is now up to 30% for severe bilateral plantar fasciitis.

      @@VAClaimsInsider I was rated at 50% for bilateral flat feet. When I submitted a claim for plantar fasciitis secondary to flat feet, I ended up getting reduced to 10%. I requested an HLR, and the decision remained. They stated that due to pyramiding, I cannot claim both conditions, because they involve the same body part and the symptoms are similar.

    I have both issues on both feet and got claim on both, but I only have total 50% on both feet and not the total 30% for PF, and a total 50% for flat feet. I'm combined 90% for all disabilities. Trying to get 100%, but as a nurse I don't want to rush to try to get 100% until I am directed by those who know more than I do, to have more medical exams, etc. I want to have the medical ammunition before I file again.

      I received a rating of 0% for bilateral PF in 2007 under old regs. Presently the minimum rating is 10%, will the va grant this increase based on the new regs automatically for me without a c&p? I haven’t been to the podiatrist in 20 years if not more

    This is incorrect. I was rated 50% for flat feet. I applied for plantar fasciitis secondary to my service connected flat feet. My rating was dropped to 10%, and was told by the VA that due to pyramiding, both conditions get rated under the same diagnostic code. I did an HLR, because I believe they erred on my decision. The HLR reaffirmed the reduction and stated that I can not have a rating for both conditions.

    • @Mr405DJ
      @Mr405DJ ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would they drop your rating for both conditions? The least they could have done was just keep you at 50%.

    • @cuzzz2259
      @cuzzz2259 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mr405DJ When I went for my C&P exam for the Plantar Fasciitis, which was 4 months after I was granted 50% for the flat feet and severe overpronation, the examiner checked off that my condition improved. He also went on to give his opinion on how my plantar fasciitis was a direct result of my flat feet.
      3 months later, the VA sent me for another C&P exam to get another opinion/ clarification on the prior exam. That second doctor indicated that my condition had not improved and that I also had plantar fasciitis. The VA disregarded that exam and used the prior exam to reduce me and subsequently to reaffirm their decision during the HLR. I will continue fighting this, because they clearly erred.

      I have a rating for both. When VA gave me a rating, of 30%, they sent info stating I could get max of 50% on feet if I had some things they listed, which PF was one of them. I sent the required me evidence and wrote their own criteria and they gave me 50% max on feet with PF and flat feet...

      @cuzzz2259 I thought just like you but something has changed. The examiner told me last week (JAN2024) she had to file it a certain way because it's 2 different ratings now. She also hinted that I shouldn't have a problem getting 50% and 30% I went with pages and pages from a private foot specialist. I did a increase just like you and i had no Idea about the 50 30 rating.

    Been out over 20 yrs I have/ had in service but never complained because I thought it was just wear and tear of being a grunt . No way the VA rated me because it wasn’t chronic just like a recent denial claim . Plus civilian medical records are destroyed after 7 years or so

    years they denied me for flat feet even though I am close to being completely flat and do have custom orthotics because of it and plantar fascitis. I have appealed and some new claim and have two exams set for next week. They are seeing for my hearing, ankle, sinuses and headaches. Though notice they excluded my tension, anxiety, depression and ptsd and severe sleep apnea. Any suggestions?

    I’m already a insider member
    Current situation I’m waiting on a a decision for a claim i put in for right foot pes plannus I came into the army with flat feet and have received 3 sets of inserts I have been denied for plantar fasciitis already. But during my c&p it was noted I had left ankle issues and arches in both feet are falling Im still seeing the podiatrist for this issue
    If I’m denied what else can I do? By the way I’m I did make notes as to why I aggravated my feet issues and they asked what do i do for employment and I said I work as a security officer in which case I stand 8- 12 hrs
    Along with the things I did while in service but I didn’t have extensive history of being seen for said problems what can I do next?

    I have an appointment in the am with a private foot specialist basically issue insoles for increase and diagnosis plantar fasciitis. For some reason my cp examiner wouldnt diagnose the PF but she did tell me go see a specialist after that meeting. Ive also put in PF 2 times secondary to flat feet but they keep removing it wondering if this is the reason why because its 2 different claims not a secondary thing now.

      Hi there! We only get paid if you get an increase (and only with NEW money that you didn’t have before)!
      There aren't any upfront costs but when you win, we charge a portion of your increase. Our veterans say the fee is worth it, considering that so many of them spent years fighting for their benefits to no avail. If we don't increase your rating, we get $0. Take a look at the details here >> vaclaimsinsider.com/price-list/
