Love the Mavic shadow on the waterfall- it's a flying frog! Thanks. it's been a few years since I was there even though I live in Sydney. Spectacular and great camera work!

Great to see footage of landmarks that I've been familiar with for the majority of my life but from different angles. As a local who lives in the area, my only issue was seeing people past the barriers. The waterfalls can be extremely slippery, and far to many people have gone over the edge of waterfalls in the mountains. The image at 2:45 was mad! If anyone thinks it's okay to ignore the signs and get past the barriers, talk to those who have to do body recoveries. They collect what's left of people who thought it was okay too!
Mate, you stole my thunder! just picked up my Mavic on the weekend and always wanted to do this. Great flying and shooting, the waterfall footage is Epic! Thanks for the inspiration.
20 yrs ago I work for Sydney Water and use to drive below the 3 sisters (3 rock outcrop shown) , was 40 min drive down cliff faces , 2 creek crossings on fire trails from Mt Victoria to Sth Katoomba waste water (now gone) picked up many lost bushwalkers heading wrong way and walking deeper into the bush. You can not see the sky when down below and is very easy to get lost around there. can see in video fire trails still look clear in the distant.
X8STO please check my new video out from the beach with our black lab puppy and DJI drone shots of the sun setting th-cam.com/video/UIccExHOgSY/w-d-xo.html
Sydney4kForeshore you will mate fly it close but not to close. Lost signal over the 3 sisters but thank the heavens it returned. It's so beautiful and to much fun
This is AWESOME! I was in the Blue Mountains in Nov, but they told me no drones. I wish I had just flown, but I had my phantom 4 - not my Mavic. It's harder to be covert with the Phantom.
Looks beautiful. I have a Mavic too on my channel but unfortunately here in Canada it is freezing cold so the Mavic acts up a bit in the cold. Subscribed to see your warm Mavic footage. Cheers. Craig
That is the most breathtakingly amazing video of the Blue Mountains area. Which falls was in the video? I'd love to do a bushwalk there and propose to my boyfriend.
Wow, awesome footage, best I have seen from videos from the Mavic pro on youtube, I'm in Perth and have been waiting since October to get my hands on a Mavic and still waiting.! Any tip would be great on filming such great shots, great work.
If you know the area then picture what you want before you do it. Create edits in your head when your listening to music. Always shoot on 4K and always have fun with it
After I saw your video, I travelt from Melbourne to Sydney, then I was unlucky I went three days in the blue mountain with my drone, it was windy foggy, and raining put I enjoy with your video
I don't have this drone, but I heard that it has manual focus, as opposed to the Phantom, which has infinity focus. So, how did you get these perfectly sharp images with apparently no depth-of-field blur anywhere?
Hi do you have lag in the traveling with 4k screen? Because when I watch on my computer I have got lots of lag during the traveling. It is not my connection (40mbps) I think it is my screen or because maybe you cannot make video in 4K 50p or 60p...

why is compared to the phantom 4 pro the video is not as good on the mavic? it seems like its a bit blurry sometimes when you look at the trees for example Maybe the video settings on the P4P are much more automatic and better than the mavic?
I live in the Blue Mountains and i wish you could see the other wonders this beautiful place has to offer apart from these mainstream tourist destinations.
I'm actually going to go there in a couple of days for only two days, what should I do? I mean, if I only got two days, I need to see the "mainstream" destinations at least right?..
That first scene standing on top of the water falls is just astonishing. How did you manage to go there? i want to go to blue mountain next week and i really love to see that spot :)
Lewis...if its a designated National Park then you are not able to fly legally there. I know, it sucks, but thems the rules. One of the reasons is that if the drone does go down in dense bushland and is not recovered then there is a real risk of the lipo battery catching fire and causing a major bushfire.
I would be taking this down man... if it goes viral you will be the next one getting fined. National park, close to wild native animals. :/ looks sick as fuck though man good work.
GregPhillipsEdits I had no idea it was a no drone zone. And there would be no way in hell that I would take any of my videos down. These are memories I never want to forget. Cheers anyway dude
Nice shots Lewis. I'm going to Australia and i'll be actually going to Blue Mountains park. Just a question, was there any problem for flying your drone right there? Any suggestion? I'll be taking a mavic too. Thanks!
David García Arévalo I found out after that I wasn’t meant to fly. So I would just take off from places where’s there’s not many people. Or just do it and say didn’t know. It’s to beautiful not to fly there
This is absolutely breathtaking. I love those backwards flyaway shots where the ground drops away revealing a sheer cliff.
That is definitely the shot you want to get on a waterfall. Beautiful place.
This is 15mins up the road, yet I never get tired of looking at this footage.
truthsout I’m glad you enjoy it
Stunning locations ....love the waterfalls
Love the Mavic shadow on the waterfall- it's a flying frog! Thanks. it's been a few years since I was there even though I live in Sydney. Spectacular and great camera work!
Beautifully done. I live 10mins from those last falls.
Would you please tell me how to get there as I wanna go on weekend
I'm no hippy, but videos like this remind us what a beautiful world we live in, we need to look after her, wish I lived near places like this....
wow..amazing video great stuff awesome fly
Rafael Petines II please check my new video out from the beach with our black lab puppy and DJI drone shots of the sun setting th-cam.com/video/UIccExHOgSY/w-d-xo.html
Fantastic! I am 5 hours drive away, I must come back and spend a few days, it has been too long! Cheers!
What a beautiful clip of some wonderful place on Earth.
the wife and I went there in may from canada. brings back memories seeing the three sisters lol. absolutely stunning video of an amazing place. you are so lucky to live there. got a sub from me. cheers.

Tim Johnson beautiful video... But dude.. Not so close to the edge. If you slip..... The drone isn't catching you
Thank you for this moment of emotion.

Cool shots man thanks for sharing, I love what the mavic can do!
fantastic mate!! Which mode did you use in the very first excerpt 0:00 - 0:10? Was it tripod, intelligent or active track??
Breathtaking! Just started doing some videos myself. Rocking the DJI Mavic Air.

Stunning video, thanks for sharing. Peter
Fantastic camera work!
I don't have this drone, but I heard that it has manual focus, as opposed to the Phantom, which has infinity focus. So, how did you get these perfectly sharp images with apparently no depth-of-field blur anywhere?
Always just go focused on a point. Each clip always turned out crisp
Interesting; thanks.
Lewis, damn these are incredible shots! Always happy to see work behind videos! Earned my sub ;) (a fellow "filmmaker")
Standing on the edge. Very brave.
is the opening katoomba falls or wentworth falls? How did you get up there?
we came from the top. theres a path way all the way down
Lewis Blackburn Media so which fall was it?
What FPS did you use 24? Video is like skipping a frame every second in the beginning.
did you get permission to fly there or just flew regardless?
hey! could you tell me the name of that waterfall in the beginning of the video and is it hard to get to that exact spot? thanks.
Very clear and useful video.
This video is just wonderful!!!
Hi do you have lag in the traveling with 4k screen? Because when I watch on my computer I have got lots of lag during the traveling. It is not my connection (40mbps) I think it is my screen or because maybe you cannot make video in 4K 50p or 60p...
Slow computers cannot render 4K videos at that high bitrate. Try lowering the resolution or compress the video.
aa maybe is because my graphic card
Such a nice vid .. even i am learning. subbed to your channel !!
Aaditya J Rana please check my new video out from the beach with our black lab puppy and DJI drone shots of the sun setting th-cam.com/video/UIccExHOgSY/w-d-xo.html
top video as always bro!
Gorgeous vids bro! I'm more determined to get one now!
This isn't restricted air space now is it? I'll be heading up there in July and I just wanna check before I fly my Mavic.
John Padilla it's not a no fly Zone but I think they have rules to not flying. Just keep out the way
Got it. I'll be in the Blue Mountains tour that's why. So I'll be in the touristy area :/
This was incredible!
Mate Im visiting the blue mountains next week. What trail did you hike to capture the footage of the waterfall in the opening of this video?
Michael Y I think it’s called govetts leap. I might be going back to the same spot next week also to finish what I started
Is that near 3 Sisters?
Sick footage!

Fantastic...
I'm interested in knowing what are the rules about flying 'drones' over The Blue Mountains. Do you know?
I know the basic rules and I wasn't breaking them. So I'm not to sure. There wasn't any signs saying you couldn't. Just always fly safe
