    A truly extraordinary laser machine, robust, very powerful, easy to install that allows you to make the first engraving or cutting in a few minutes. It can also be controlled from the Android App if you don't have a PC or Mac for cable management. I have never tried such a powerful laser and I assure you, it makes a difference. You can reduce time and make cuts or engravings at a higher speed, thanks to the very high power of the laser. IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CUT METALS, but only engrave them with some precautions

    Kind of scummy to clickbait a 20w laser as a "130w laser" because the whole machine uses that power for motors and air assist. Suddenly makes sense that this "130w laser" can barely cut aluminum foil thickness metal.

      @@antecboy Not true.. The 130W is a "CO2 laser equivalent power". That means it has a strenght of 130W CO2 laser, give or take. If it was 130W input power, then 110W would be lost/dissipated as heat. And that is a lot of heat, it would just burn itself.

    Saying it's a 130W is so misleading. It's not the optical power, only the power it draws. It has 4x5.5W led, so with the mirror loss, it's more about a 20W laser(which is great!).

    Just a heads up. The customer service from this company is not the greatest. I recently purchased this machine and have noticed quite a few imperfections and scratches on the machine. It appears to have been previously assembled as their was anodized aluminum in the screw threads, adjacent scratches on the control box and the back of the screen, flat spots on the wheels, and the limit switches were installed. Also the top cap on the laser prevents it from sliding all the way down to the workpiece. I purchased their rotary axis as well. This came with a busted nob. The companies solution is to send me new screws, wheels, and belts. And to tell me that the damages were a result of customs going through the box.

    Atomstack makes high quality stuff EXCEPT those goofy goggles. They REALLY should find a better supplier or just leave them out and just warn the user not to go blind, please use protective glasses of a specific wavelength, etc. I like the MUCH improved locking mechanism compared to the two dinky allen screws in earlier models. I dislike the touch screen/mobile app. Any serious designer paying for a machine like that will be working on a computer. It's a WASTED ADDED COST. Arguably so is the air assist setup if it is included. Again, a serious designer will have or adapt an air pumping scheme from an airbrush or aquarium system. I would MUCH rather Atomstack offer OPTIONAL components for, for example venting the smoke, amber windows, box wall hardware, air assist COUPLINGS, lights, etc.

The 32 bit design is an improvement though the A5 Pro does excellent work without it is an upgrade. The limit switches are a definite improvement with the new one too. My A5 Pro is used for high-detail etching on soft wood. I'm able to control it to produce exactly what I need it to do. The fit and finish of the A5 Pro frame and gantry are excellent. This new one looks very similar. I expect equally good results for you. If you only need great control etching on wood at different intensities, I recommend the A5 Pro at less than half the price. I use an adjustable tankless airbrush compressor in another room for air assist.

    I've got a 100w co2 laser, it makes more clean cuts than the laser from the video. I think the problem is not sufficent air flow in the laser spot. My guess that co2 for wood\acrillic is more convinient that this small one. For metals only the fiber laser with 20W+ can do the good job. Another problem - wood and acrilic cutting (even engraving) produces mass of toxic smoke. My aspiration system is 700W power and sometimes it's not enough to stay long time in the room where my laser works. This laser would be nicer if it were cheaper and if the stated advertised power was more honest. I want to like this laser engraver/cutter because of it's simplicity but a K40 CO2 laser is half the price and comes fully enclosed with an fume extraction fan. Even adding in the cost of a few upgrades a K40 would still be cheaper than this Atomstack. Based on how Atomstack is trying to trick uninformed people about its actual power output, I wouldn't trust or buy one of these things. Also, and I could be wrong here, in order to get the 20W power, they are driving the laser diode at near its maximum allowed current draw. This will significantly reduce its service life.
    And no, I don't have a K40. I have a NEJE A40640 laser which they advertise as a 10W laser, its true optical power. I may get a K40 if I find I need more power and/or when the A40640 wears out. Yes, laser diodes have a finite life.

      The great thing is that the spot of the co2 laser cant be smaller than 0.15 mm in diameter due to the wavelength limitations but the violet laser doesn't have such restrictions. It means that the power will apply to the smaller surface. This machine doesn't have enough airflow in the cutting spot, it certainly spoil the cut surface. A good compressor with 1-2 bars will change the game.

      So you've been tricked as well, thinking that your "40W" CO2 laser outputs 40W... try more like 8W OUTPUT.

    Purchased for my son and returned, (I myself have a 60W MOPA Fiber and a 100W CO2, so..no new to laser here), if you understand the words SLOW and UNDER-POWERED...you will stay away from this expensive "toy" no much of difference from a 10W Power (just the fact that they try to manipulate the power saying in the ads that the machine is a 130W power (but the diodes are 4x5W =20W) tells that they try to mislead the new buyers with minimum understand on how machine power and laser power works...my only guess, the machines giving to youtubers must be "special ones" given for free in exchange of a good word. Save yourself from a mistake

  • @halsaresnowpaw522

    WARNING!!! Click Bait! This is only a 20W LASER. The machine consumes 130W. This is over $1200 USD. There are better options out there for less.

  • @quantomica

    I do wish everybody stops using the bogus input power rating and specify the OPTICAL power, which is only 20W for this laser. You probably know this but was tempted to use that value for a more dramatic title - but its a disservice to all viewers.

  • @DrorSapir
    @DrorSapir 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You have a good product. But to stand out in the diode laser industry you need to be above the bullshit output ratings Aliexpress companies use. This is not a 130W laser, and seeing a 130W laser cut through 10mm of wood isn't impressive. If you're able to output 15-20W, that's impressive! put that number in big letters on your video thimbnails! This 130 number you are using means nothing to anyone who understands lasers and it's screwing with people's understanding of what they have

  • @TMS5100
    @TMS5100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Clickbait title. PSU is 130W but according to the manufacturer the laser is only 20W. With this logic I could put a 500W PSU on the product and call it 500W laser.

  • @ryanrankin7952
    @ryanrankin7952 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really like atomstack products; however my only complaint is the misrepresentation of the optical power output, which is replicated in this video. The "130W laser" in reality is a 24 watt optical output laser. I just want to be sure people understand what they are getting. While a great product, it wouldn't compete with an actual 130 watt laser.

  • @markm49

    false advertising: that laser isn't outputting 130W, and it's definitely not equivalent to anything that produces 130W of laser energy; a tube that can output 100W costs more than this entire machine.
