I hope the situation settles down once the update goes live.
Academic research exists that looks at gaming. One paper looking at online games found that, in the games studied, when combat is promoted other elements like crafting and exploring and players in those game play types are reduced. The demographics of the player base tends, over time, towards a relatively small clique of predominantly male players. If that group falls in number it can lead to a death spiral where fewer players leads to more leaving and the game becomes not viable both economically and in terms of players having others to play against.
I highly doubt there is a single developer at CIG who took a calculator and did some basic math for trading: How much time; How much profit; How much effort; How much is available; How many people will be trading; Is there even enough to fill a single ship? Oh wait, none of these things have been addressed... whoever is working on economy doesn't even understand the basics of economy... skipped out on high school economy classes and now works at CIG...
And even IF, big if, someone did all of this... this same person did not account for size of ship at all. Right now if you have a small ship and want to do cargo? Useless, because you are going to fish in the same pool as big cargo ship because everything is worthless!
You are always comlaining (or at least in those videos I saw). Star Citizen is still an unbalanced alpha - but it makes great progress and is fun to play. Sure, there are always bigger or minor bugs that makes it boring, but thats the alpha aspect of that. To complain that something does not work as pretend or as you wish in an alpha is just whining. I mostly play with others in my corp, there are evenings where Star Citizen is unplayable and evenings where we played up to 6 hours without encounter any bugs - thats life in Star Citizen and I would not recommend to play that game to anyone who can't understand what that really means.
So hillarious ... one day i'm a white knight , another day i'm a complainer... sigh .... also I literally made a brand new issue council report for this issue. How is the complaining? I'd say it's constructive critiscism. All I want is to have a fun game and profitable trade that attracts piracy is fun. Oh and I checked the last 10 videos, I made 6 positive videos and 4 negatives.. how is that always complaining? Ah yes, negativity attracts more views... then I invite you to also watch the positive ones then :) I made a really cool one about Polaris multicrewing with a wing of snub fighters :)

I hold nothing against anyone, each to his own, as I listed no players at fault. As a few mentioned that it was only eptu so who cares. I just learned that I will stick to Stanton and work on being better at PvP. I did get to see the planet Bloom and it was awesome. Pyro does look amazing. I hope the situation settles down once the update goes live.
in my case. they always talke shit. if you dont have friend in pyro you gonna die. etc etc. always praise the PvP thing
Cool
Trade is a joke and has been for years!
I highly doubt there is a single developer at CIG who took a calculator and did some basic math for trading:
How much time;
How much profit;
How much effort;
How much is available;
How many people will be trading;
Is there even enough to fill a single ship?
Oh wait, none of these things have been addressed... whoever is working on economy doesn't even understand the basics of economy... skipped out on high school economy classes and now works at CIG...
And even IF, big if, someone did all of this... this same person did not account for size of ship at all.
Right now if you have a small ship and want to do cargo? Useless, because you are going to fish in the same pool as big cargo ship because everything is worthless!
Trade is dead
